BRANDON, South Dakota (CNN) Hillary Clinton said Friday she regretted comments that evoked the June 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy as part of her explanation for why she was staying in the presidential race late into the primary season.
"Earlier today, I was discussing the Democratic primary history and in the course of that discussion mentioned the campaigns that both my husband and Senator Kennedy waged in California in June in 1992 and 1968, and I was referencing those to make the point that we have had nominating primary contests that go into June. That's an historic fact, she told reporters.
The Kennedys have been much on my mind in the last days because of Senator [Ted] Kennedy, and I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever, she added.

A Freudian slip isn’t a good thing. That would imply that she subconciously wants to see Obama whacked. That would be disturbing if true.
I'm sure she wouldn't mind it a bit. I'm also sure that Hussein would not shed a tear if Hillary got whacked. What she said, however, was objectively innocuous. What Olberman said was objectively vile and despicable.
I agree with your assessment.
I also get your point about the faux apologies, btw. These types of “apologies” have become meaningless nonsense.
The line of thought Hillary was using in talking about campaigns going into the summer exactly fits the example of Bobby Kennedy.
I see no secret message to go out and harm Obama.
One must have something unusual in a comment about assassination if their intent is to send a message. That was a normal, logical comment.
DrE, I love ya, but I not going there on this one. Besides, the Clinton’s never telegraphed an Arkancide before. Why start now? In fact, it would be stupid.

Or that it's possible that she subconciously thinks that we never know what the future holds.
Your statement above proves you didn't fully read the posts and listen to the input of others before you went off half-cocked.
Hillary alluded to this same Kennedy assassination theme on three previous occasions. This does not happen in presidential campaigns by the candidate without the entire thought being vetted by surrogates and tested in simulated interviews.
You have nullified your comments in defense of Clinton on this thread.

I am always fully cocked.

That very well may be. I still did not read anything into her statement that was odd. The only reason it is an issue is becaue Hussein is a Black man and the Media darling and they are looking for anything they can to hang Hillary. Not that she doesn't deserve it.

I stand by my statements.

Half full?
The Kennedy assassination happened in the late sixties, the era when Bill & Hill were campus radicals. Hillary is even from Chicago. That era of activist ALWAYS refers to “Bobbie’s Assassination” as if it were a personal thing.
“Has anybody here seen my old friend Bobby, can you tell me where he’s gone. Freed lotta people, but, oh, it seems they die young. Just look around and their gone....”
It was a culture, and for old hippies who don’t know what to do to continue referencing it is to realize that they think they’re commenting on something that’s a common experience for all of them.
There is absolutely NOTHING in Hillary’s comments that can be structured into a rational accusation that has legs. It’s simply not possible.
This is just the “hate Hillary” crowd doing the irrational.
On the media side, it is another example of the media HUGELY injecting itself into the political arena. If this were any conservative candidate getting the same treatment, these pages would be flaming at the biased MSM.
I am in the very uncomfortable position of actually feeling somewhat sorry for Hillary. The very media vipers who protected Bill are eating her alive with every utterance.
McCain better take note of what’s going on now because the media and others are just warming up to make Obama untouchable.
There is no other time like the present situation to take the speech terrorists to task and end this or we’ll never be able to speak our minds publically again. It’s nearly that way now.
"Advertising is the art of convincing people to spend money they don't have for something they don't need." -- Will Rogers
I would add -- "and for something they might not even want."
Read "The Hidden Persuaders" by Vance Packard. Not only does it explain what happens and how it happens, but why it happens.
In this case, any "secret message" is actually Hillary's inability to censor herself and her true personality, even for her own good.
That's how strong her delusional ambition is.
self-ping
and such a waste of money having to cover her huge butt...it’s sheer insanity that she is even running, she’s a total moron.
What I do not get is that when Sen. Obama says his gaffes, or verbal mistakes, then the response is “no big deal”, but if it is Sen. Clinton, you get the loudest “whinning” that is seen by Sen. Obama’s supporters who treat him like a messiah. What a bunch of hypocrits.
Overall, both Dem canidates are morons anyways.
Hillary Clinton is a murderer. She has had people killed before. It is her Final Solution for desperate cases.
This is her most desperate case, ever. She will try to figure out a way to have her killer accomplices murder Barak Obama.
It wont be possible. The Secret Service protection of Barak Obama is unusually tight. Furthermore, she is now on record what her true thoughts are. Barak now knows her soul.
She wont be vice president. She screwed up bad.
