Hundreds of legal and illegal immigrants in Arizona are being sent back to their home countries, sometimes against their will, for medical treatment because they lack insurance. (snip) The forcible removals are the result of federal and state law mandating that only U.S. citizens and legal residents are eligible for Medicaid.

I saw this article at DU and thought it was interesting. Of course, their comments and the tone of the article is how awful this situation is. I hope this approach catches on in the other states, it should have been the policy all along. Unfortunately, the illegal alien industry will try to stop this using our legal system.

This is EXCELLENT. Every state in the U.S. should have the same policy, starting with mine!

Another sob story.
Expect the Washington Post and the New York Times to have page 1 above-the-fold stories of illegals dying in the streets, and John McCain lecturing us that these are all God’s children while Obama and Clinton say it is another reason for a British national helth program.

Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta is a financial basket case for a lot of reasons - but it's care like that illustrated in the article that accounts for a significant portion of it. One recent example was an illegal immigrant who was struck by a hit and run driver, and left in a coma. For one year Grady provided care to the tune of $1.3M, and recently moved the patient to a care facility where the cost will approximately $300k/year. This kind of situation is sufficiently numerous that there needs to be a policy of repatriation.

Of course, the idiots in the MSM claim that this is some kind of new manifestation of heartlessness.
My mother’s cousin was a social worker in NYC in the 1920’s and 1930’s, and I have an article she wrote for professional publication about how great is was that NYC paid to send an Itailian immigrant with TB back home to Italy, specifically so that he would not be a burden on New York Social Services.
Long before “Boooosh” ever saw the light of day.

One of the untold secrets about the whole trend in the U.S. toward the provision of all taxpayer-funded services to illegal immigrants is that it is a "demand side" measure driven primarily by the desire to make consumers out of people who have no money.
Every illegal immigrant in a public school or a government-run hospital represents an employment opportunity for a school teacher, a medical professional, etc.
THIS -- more than the political influence of "immigration advocates" -- is the biggest reason why illegal immigration has been allowed to perpetuate for so long in this country.
The U.S. doesn't maintain an unfettered immigration policy because it needs cheap labor. It does so because it wants more consumers.

This problem will take care of itself after November when we all get “free healthcare” and the loons in the black robes decide that it is “unconstitutional” for us to deny “free” medical care to ANYONE who shows up at the hospitals in this country.

I've been advocating this policy for years now. When someone says, "What do you want to do, round up 20million people and send them home?", I just say "No, cut off the benefits and they will go home on their own."
If they can't get free medical, free public school, and free welfare, WIC, food stamps, etc, it would be hard to stay here for them. Some MEANINGFULL fines for employers and landlords could also help. We recently had to fight to stop illegals from getting the stimulus check. The original bill said if you fill out a 1040 you get the check. It supposedly ended up that the SS# had to be real. An easy check would be to send the INS to the address the check was supposed to go to where the SS# didn't check out, but agencies aren't allowed to pass info to each other. I thought we fixed that after 9/11.

It would be better if they brought in some PAYING consumers! All over the country, “consumers” with no money and no insurance are putting huge burdens on the system, and ultimately, the poor old taxpayer. A previous post on Grady Hospital in Atlanta is a good case in point.
We know that all governments just love their tax revenue; it’s gotta chafe when illegals with phony or foreign ID’s crash cars and tie up police/rescue services in addition to working under the table with no taxes.

If you are a wetback and get sick here you are in trouble.
Is there something wrong with that?
