The Field can now confirm, based on multiple sources, something that both campaigns publicly deny: that Senator Clinton has directly told Senator Obama that she wants to be his vice presidential nominee, and that Senator Obama politely but straightforwardly and irrevocably said “no.” Obama is going to pick his own running mate based on his own criteria and vetting process.

I don’t think this is over until the balloons drop the last night of the convention in Denver.
Obama would have a “death wish” if he let Hillary and Bill any where near him. Who would want to have them just a heartbeat away from the Presidency. VP would be temporary until close to 2010. There would not just need to be secret service, he would need food tasters.
They want it so bad that they will form a new Democratic Party based on the DLC which gave us "Slick", and run as an indy.
She would rather ruin his chances in November and split the vote, rather than have to call him "Mr. President" and still be 1 of 100 in the Senate.
One things for sure- that convention is going to render some major leage entertainment value!
