There are many issues in this post here. First, in the above post I mentioned that while I have disagreements with Jim I appreciate the service he and this site have done. The vast majority of people on this site are good as well, though obviously a few bad apples exist.

Now, why do the GOP keep shooting themselves in the feet? The most obvious explanation to me is that they are Republicans, not conservatives. I cannot stand the pandering that goes on from both sides. It used to be that being Republican meant being conservative, but that’s clearly no longer the case. Maybe you’re referring to the GOP nominating McCain as shooting themselves in the foot, which would also be a valid argument. I don’t know. I do know that I just don’t understand the whole logic behind the “suicide vote.” By that I mean the idea that the country is doomed regardless of who’s in office and we might as well let the Democrats get the blame. I was not alive for the Carter debacle so I don’t know what that was like.

However, I do know that the media did nothing to Clinton despite his numerous faults (imagine if Bush had perjured himself!). Bush has been blamed for absolutely everything that went wrong in this country and half of everything that didn’t. I believe the media exists to attack conservatism day in and day out. They’re a big reason we’re in this mess right now. Going back to 2006, George Allen uttered one word that I had never, ever heard mentioned as a “racial slur” yet the media used it to torpedo his campaign and in the process destroy the Republican 2008 frontrunner.

BS.. spin what you first said any way you want. I read what I read.. but that aside, Jim was gracious and thanked you for your contribution. his prerogative.

There have always been bad apples, unfortunately, a lot of folks here are more than willing to try and get others to eat it and tell them it is good for them.

I think the ‘sleep in the bed you helped make’ part is what most irked me. The nation is headed that way and both parties are at fault.

Trying to put whipped cream on the goP’s “choice” in atainted primary process and sell it as palateable is a bit much and will make even some of the sternest maggots gag.

Liberal media bias is just a tiny fraction of the whole problem: Worldwide Political Correctness. If all-and I mean all-of political correctness all over the world is eventually successfully eliminated, then all of world politics will truly be much better for it. We all need serious think-tanks and serious people whose major focus is truly doing all that they can possibly do to the best of human abilities to truly and successfully get rid of all political correctness all over the world and for always. People created political correctness, so people can also eliminate political correctness. Continuing to do absolutely nothing to truly move in the direction of getting rid of all political correctness will only ensure that all of political correctness truly continues to get even worse for everybody everyday all over the world.
