Kennedy wants his Senate seat given to his wife(dynasty ping!)
hot air ^

Ted Kennedy has made clear to confidants that when his time is up, he wants his Senate seat to stay in the family - with his wife, Vicki. Multiple sources in Massachusetts with close ties to the liberal lion say his wife of 16 years has long been his choice to continue carrying the family flame in the Senate. Kennedy won the seat in 1962; his brother John held it from 1953 to 1960. Theres no question that hed like Vicki to continue in his seat, said one Massachusetts Democrat with ties to the Camelot clan who spoke to Kennedy recently, before his health crisis. Shes smart, and smart politically.

When it comes to the Kennedys, yes. I went to college in Taxachussets and they were truly worshipped, spoken of in hushed, reverent tones. I was a liberal and even respected the Kennedies...until I lived in MA.

Regardless of whether Vicky Kennedy gets the post or some other Dhimmicrat in MA gets it, they will be the “Junior Senator from MA” and John F. Kerry will get promoted to “Senior Senator from MA” which means that Mrs. Kennedy will not have nearly the pull that her hubby has now.

For the record, he first came to the Senate in 1962.
I was referring also to his brother Jack who won the seat from Lodge in 1952. We had a political coatholder in the seat from 1960 to 1962 while we waited for Ted to turn thirty.

“The Senate isnt the House of Lords”
There’s a strong majority of Senators (in both parties) who think (and act) otherwise.
You are definitely right about a number of Bay State Dems sailvating over this seat - even though they’ll not admit as much.

I don't think so. The Kennedy's view themselves as America's royal family and think they're entitled to govern the United States from birth and are above the laws of normal people. The arrogance of Ted Kennedy never comes as a surprise to me, my personal sympathies for his cancer plight notwithstanding.
I do wonder why so many freepers fawn over crooked empty suit playboy John F. Kennedy though. They'd have us believe he'd a "Republican" today, even though the other 99% of the Kennedy clan is obviously hardcore liberals. If Arnold Schwartzenegger is an example of a "Republican", then I suppose JFK would fit in with that kind of "Republican"
Freepers seem to think John F. Kennedy is Mike Huckabee and vice versa. It's the only explaination given their actual track records.

Does wife Vicky have any skills? You may not like or agree with Hillary, but she does have skills, stamina, contacts and information.

Isn’t she from Louisiana? I don’t see MA buying that, even if she is by marriage a Kennedy.

LA as in Louisaina, not Los Angeles, I see. Part of the old Huey Long machine— entitlements, corruption and defrauding taxpayers. IOW, a perfect family to partner with the Kennedys.

I don’t feel sorry for him at all. I might have, had he not left Mary Jo Kopechne to die.

Here in Minnesota, the Democrats refer to our two Senate seats as “Mondale’s seat” or “Wellstone’s seat”.
I know a number of Democrats and they feel an entitlement of sorts to these two seats and that’s reflected in the way they speak of these two seats.

I cannot think of a family that has abused and humiliated and ever terminated women more than the Kennedy family going back to this fat drunk's father. He probably thinks giving a woman anything other than a look at the bottom of Chappaquidick pond, might cause history to look at him as something other than the misogynist that he truly was.
