I was wrong and I apologize for misunderstanding your intent.

No problem, sarcasm is always obvious to the guy using it. My fault for not being clearer

What amazes me about these FReeper thugs is how very successful they were in squelching any opposing opinion. They literally bullied everyone not in agreement with themselves. And sadly most of us found it easier to let them have the FLDS threads rather than to fight them.

After awhile, I must admit that included me. I kind of gave up, tired of being called a rapist.

They were, and still are, no different that the Block Watchers of the old USSR.

And every bit as dangerous.

Fascists, the whole damn lot of 'em.

An example of the kind of hysteria and complete approval of the Gov’ts actions based on the allegations made by someone unknown to any of the officials is found in this link. Read down through it and you will see how bad it can get around here sometimes;

Sharia law is coming. What will we do?

Shoot the "Religious Police"?

Works for me. I've been practicing with my scoped semi-auto scarry looking black rifle, in 7.62x51, aka 7.62 NATO. (If it was select fire, it would be a battle rifle, as parts of it originally were). No wimpy semi-auto version of an assault rifle for me. :)

Amen, and watch them play victim now.

That's because like most Fascists they're cowards at heart.

We need someone to build a list of who they are and private Freepmail it around.

They're damn dangerous.

if one child is in danger all children must be removed from the compound. This is based on the fact that if one child in a home is suspected of being abused, then all children in the home are removed. This just happens to be a case on 460 children.

Actually that was part of the judges ruling. That the entire "compound"/community should not have been considered a single home/household.

Two years on, CPS has improved in some respects, but the agency is once again foundering. And as the Human Services Committee convened its meeting in the Capitol basement in late February, lawmakers were again faced with media reports of grisly and preventable deaths among foster children. Some children’s advocates say the latest round of reform bills may make the situation even worse. http://www.texasobserver.org/article.php?aid=2441

They really should have taken the “fathers” away and not the children or mothers. They are the criminals not the children.

If the mother’s were raped and it was allowed by the parents then, yes, they should all be taken away until it’s investigated. A short time away from the parents is in the best interest of the children.

I agree. The people in this cult were nut jobs. Hopefully all of this will get sorted out. If laws were broken the state will prosecute. I don't know all the details unlike many kneejerks on this thread.

just wish there was a way to keep the moms away from the brainwashing influence of the FLDS

People have a right to have their brains washed if they want. I just want to keep the state away from children.

They acted on what they thought was a true emergency

Who did?

Recall that there was more than one call.

The supposed "Sarah" spent FORTY HOURS on the phone with an anti-polygamy activist (Flora Jessop), starting the day after the first call.

It wasn't until the following week--FIVE DAYS after the first call--that police got the warrant.

That's not exactly "racing to an emergency"...

You are correct, any call... whether to the "hotline" or police, shelter, etc, must document the call for it to be followed through.

The following article gives a brief explanation on how the system works in terms of progressive steps in investation stages. It also provides a "glimpse" into the CPS systems debacled quagmire. It does not go into incidences where case workers have been fined and/or jailed due to lying or breaking laws.
Child Protective Services: Problems, Reforms and More Problems

Another example are CPS workers vs. Border agents:
Children of the State The feds and Texas quarrel over custody of undocumented kids.

Another Texas CPS worker scamming (not the Brazoria County CPS bunch who scammed citizens claiming a child was a Katrina victim who had lost his mother... and wasn't):

And the pedophile priests of the Catholic Church!.

Then there's Scientology. And the Exclusive Brethren, And the Moonies. Plus all the one-man-megachurches.

Cults, you can't eat just one.
