Or how about the 18 yr old who delivered after the raid. They kept her baby from her for the first 3 weeks after birth.

Source, please.

Told ya this case reeked from the beginning, and was compromised from the start by over zealous state employees and local law enforcement that didn’t seem to have a clue.

Greta van Sustern will renew her contract with FOX News for five more years at $14 million on this case alone.

ROFL! It's so funny because it's true.

Don’t expect an apology. The statists, ie fascists and socialist, are always looking for support where ever they can find it. To some people the issue is the environment and on it they cede the government all power. Others are hung up on anything to do with sex. They cede the government all power on anything to do with sex.

And if the particular situation did not need government action if people’s rights were stepped on, too bad. After all the environment, sex, border control, etc are too important an issue and thus the government must have more and more power to deal with them. Of course we know the hard core statist is just going with whomever increases the power of the state for whatever reason.

I agree with all you said, just wish there was a way to keep the moms away from the brainwashing influence of the FLDS.

Oh you’ve got to be kidding, don’t you realize...

Oh well, nevermind. ;-)

Can’t argue against your premise at all. I do think it’s a little early to gloat knowing how the courts twist things in the wind, but you certainly have reason to say what you did.

Heads are gonna role and those FLDS women will get their kids back and have a pretty good amount of money to build up their ranch — all the courtesy of the Texas taxpayer who will be forced to pay for the CPS idiocy!!!

Of course.

By the time this is over, Texas CPS will prefer to juggle chain saws than deal with what is coming their way.

In the end, the CPS will be considered a cult.

Starlifter wrote: I'm old enough to remember when everyone was certain, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that all those children were viciously assaulted in the day care centers.

WayneS responded: That case (Washington or Oregon, right?) had slipped to the back of my mind. Witch hunts are NEVER a good idea.

That was the 1983 McMartin daycare case here in the wealthy Los Angeles suburb of Manhattan Beach. All of the defendents were eventually exonerated, but it took years and destroyed their lives and livelihoods. The original allegations were made by a mentally unbalanced woman who dropped her son off at the McMartin daycare facility one day, even though the boy wasn't enrolled there.

The McMartin case is a despicable example of government authorities, child welfare, child psychology experts, and media run totally amok.

But we never learn from even our recent past.

Man-o-Man! Who couldn't see this coming??? Oh yeah. The majority of Freepers. Those who had these poor people convicted, jailed and anally raped because the know-it-all freepers just KNEW that nefarious things were happening down there. Why? Cause the gubmint said so!!!

Freepers REALLY disappointed me on this one, I gotta tell ya.

And if you said a word against their stand against these people , then you musta been a perverted perp yourself!

No word about the DOZEN rights that were stripped from these people, eh Freepers??? Nah. Gubmint said so and why would the gubmint lie??

>If you are so concerned, go on down to your nearest public housing project and take down the ages of all the mothers present. I still have not heard of them going there and taking all the underage mothers out of those conditions.<

A more appropriate place would be the local abortion clinic. Check the age and professional relationship of the fathers.

I said I BELIEVE this group is a cult.

Yes...and you want the government to do something about it.

I doubt there will be any lawsuits. I don’t think the FLDS would want to open themselves up to the discovery process.

I agree with you. But I'm also sure that the way this was handled did a LOT of damage to these women and proved to them (in their minds) that the outside world can't be trusted. If anything, the state just drove many of these women deeper into the cult.

Amen to that. It has been ridiculous and disturbing. They are still mobbing it out with mormon boogiemen hiding in their closets on another thread.

I don’t understand why you are projecting that on me, I never mentioned the government.

Recall that the original allegation came from a woman who...

1] was not a teen, as she claimed,

2] was not a resident of the ranch, as she claimed,

3] was not even in the state of Texas.

___________________________________________________________ This is typical of this ever growing, intrusive, punitive big government.

When I initially read some of the details of this case, and how it came about, I just shook my head in amazement.

This was all very predictable based on the fact the case was totally compromised from the beginning.
