Not good. The RandomAnonAid reads quite defeatist IMO. If this is the overall attitude of the GOP, we’re definitely in bad shape.
If we are going to lose that many seats as they predict, then we shouldn’t sit around whining about it, but go down fighting with everything we can throw at them. Make certain the people of this Nation know who made the attempt.
The damage this Nation has sustained at the hands of the Socialist/Democrats will become tenfold or more should they have their way even four years.

Also regarding the slur against people not being educated...we are educated and informed enough to know that CIR was a massive amnesty bill designed to appease corporations and their dependency on low wage third world workers.
This 'Aide' doesn't get it just as his coworkers and superiors on Capitol Hill don't get it. The Republicans lost because they fell for the sugar candy that special interests were handing them instead of staying in touch with the mood of the electorate and forging ahead on issues that needed reform:
Tax Reform? Nada.
Secure the Border? Nada.
Reduce Govt Spending? Nope.
Entitlement Reform? Forgedaboudit.
Instead we got:
CIR....amnesty for all.
Banking Reform...an unneeded gift to the credit industry.
A poorly planned first stage of Iraq occupation where the American people were pummeled by enemy propaganda.
Oh,...but we got two conservative judges but only after the Bushites tried to ram Harriet Miers down our throats.
One thing they do wrong is hide from the cameras. All I see are democrats unchallenged on the television.
You just can’t be for it,you have to sell it. I also think it hurt them when they shunned the president. Even at Clintons worst the dems did’nt abandon him.
I truly don’t see the Republican Party somehow making a decent comeback after the ‘06 and ‘08 elections. After mid-January ‘09, the eventual full enactment of the Fairness Doctrine along with eventually allowing illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. to legally vote in all future U.S. elections will truly put both Republicans and conservatives in general into permanent minority status. Their minority status will continue until both the Republican Party and all of conservatism are eventually dead. A socialistic third world country will truly replace the U.S. for the long-term unless a civil war does eventually occur between conservatives and leftists with the conservatives actually winning it.
Until Democrats control everything all you are going to hear from Conservatives “Why did they not do this when they controlled everything&rdquo It like all the Democrats lead fillbusters of just about everything the House Republicans sent to the US Senate never happened. NO no, it all the Republicans fault that the Democrats fillbustered everything!;

$40 billion deficit reduction bill passed Dec 2005 with not one single Democrat vote. 1st Deficit reduction law passed since the 1980s. Heard of it? But of course not, that would require you to hold you Democrat party idols accountable.

Social Security Reform and RX drug plan. 1st major attempts at reforming Entitlement programs since they were started. Heard of it? But of course not, that would require you to hold you Democrats hero's accountable.

We need a strong Conservative Leader to rise in the GOP - My candidate is J.D. Hayworth. We need to pursue strong candidates with outgoing and vibrant personalities who will STAND UP for our CONSERVATIVE values. I believe what is so discouraging to many of us is this lay down and roll over attitude that pervades the GOP Leadership. Not to mention that while Raum Emanuel (the DNCs Karl Rove) is cherry picking candidates that are “middle of the road” democrats” and getting them elected, (see PA and VA) we don’t seem to have many vibrant electable candidates. We got caught in the “Washington Scandals” and need to clean house of corruption amongst those who feel they can just flaunt their lifestyle and still maintain their seats. We don’t even have the 2008 senate races listed here on FR.

Bush & numerous Republicans fought harder for the Mexican Government and their illegals than they fought for any other “domestic” issue. Bush refused to do his duty to secure the borders unless/until we gave him amnesty for the illegals. Only in the last year has Bush made any moves to finally secure the borders. DHS Secretary Chertoff has stated that we won’t have operational control of our border until 2013, so if it’s to be done, it will be done by another President, not Bush.

Bush couldn’t even sell Social Security Reform, which is allowing people to invest and keep their own money. Perhaps if Bush worked as hard selling this much needed reform as he worked for the Mexican government he could have gotten it done.
Bush did get a new huge entitlement passed with the RX drug plan. How very liberal of him.

Bush was given a gift by conservatives of having both the House and Senate in his party. He did nothing to stop the breach of the border to the South, in fact he went out of his way to work a deal with Vicente Fox to legalize or ‘regularize’ the 3 million... no 12 million... no possibly 20 million whatever border criminals that were soaking the USA for everything they could get.

You’re absolutely in la-la land if you think Bush ever took out his veto pen against any spending measure in his first six years. But go ahead and call me a democrat if it makes you feel better. Just take note that it won’t help your delusionary state.
There was no Social Security Reform and that is the fault of the GOP and especially the impotent Republican Senate Leader Bill Frist who could have used the ‘nuclear option’ but wimped out.

I can't see them being much worse than the Socialist/Republicans. I think the Socialist/Democrats will be able to count on continued support from the Socialist/Republicans, you know, like the same ones who helped them pass the "farm" bill.
The GOP is Democrat lite and no longer represents very much of a conservative agenda. With elections so close lately an unprincipled party with an unmotivated base can't win. My prediction, we lose many seats this year in the House and Senate and continue withering on the vine.
