Why don’t they take Oprah’s Billions to pay for a gas subsidy.... This is the slippery slope of liberalism... government control of commodities is a bad, bad, marxist bad idea, something that most likely will happen when Obama is in the WH.... Dims will get to blame Bush for the oil crisis and Pubbies by default if they don’t defend the truth. The truth is that the dollar is weak thanks to the housing crisis, thanks to Dims forcing lenders to lend to low income borrowers and the fact that demand is through the roof while supply hasn’t budged. Supply hasn’t budged b/ Dims won’t let the U.S. drill domestically.
