Matthew 5:44-47 (NKJV)
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
May God bless him and his family during this time. If it is His will, may he recover. He is a gutsy opponent in the public arena of ideas.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Amen!
May our God who loves mankind bless Senator Kennedy in body and soul, and keep him in the true Faith of Christ!
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as is in the begining is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
Prayers for Mr. Kennedy, his family, and his doctors.
God? Is that You?
Nah, SMITE is not a button on the Admin Moderator keyboard (with apologies to The Far Side)
May this man find faith, forgiveness and redemption--which none of us deserves
and may Almighty God be glorified in it...
I pray for the best for him, which is to ask that God's will be done and His mercy will be showered upon Sen. Kennedy.
May God bless and comfort Ted and his whole family. Cancer of any sort should arouse the greatest sympathy in any human.
Oh, believe me, the man I am talking about was not my favorite former flame either. He still did not deserve such a fate. He was much younger than Kennedy. He was 54.
Best wishes to him and his family and comfort to them all.
I stole this from a website called “Breadsite”. I hope they won’t mind.
One particular day, Sally walked into seminary and knew they were in for another fun day. On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts. Brother Smith told the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who made them angry and he would allow them to throw darts at the persons picture. Sallys girlfriend (on her right), drew a picture of a girl she disliked. Another friend (on her left), drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a picture of Brother Smith, putting a great deal of detail into her drawing, even drawing pimples on his face. Sally was pleased at the overall effect she had achieved.
The class lined up and began throwing darts, with much laughter and hilarity. Some of the students threw their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart. Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled with disappointment when Brother Smith, because of time limits, asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking about how angry she was because she didnt have a chance to throw any darts at her target, Brother Smith began removing the target from the wall.
Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus.
A complete hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus.
Brother Smith said only these words, “In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me.”
No other words were necessary; the tear-filled eyes of each student focused only on the picture of Christ. The students remained in their seats even after the bell rang then slowly left the classroom, tears streaming down their faces.

This is what separates us from them.... We forgive.
I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.
Prayers sent candle lit.

Of course, zero credit goes to us.
The only people who can truly forgive others are those who realize they have been forgiven by God.
Even the ability to forgive is a gift from God.
Prayers going up for the Senator and his family and friends.
I don’t know why God allows things like this to happen, but I honestly don’t believe God is taking revenge on the Senator for his liberal stands throughout his life. I totally oppose the majority of the Senator’s stands on the majority of issues, but as a Christian it’s not my place (or anyone else’s, IMO) to rub my hands gleefully together and say he deserves the very worst that can happen—which has sadly been the case of many FReepers in the locked threads. :-( Just more fodder for BOR to attack FR with one broad brush as a ‘hate’ site! :-(
I’ve heard the tumor is inoperable, so surgery isn’t an option—that doesn’t bode well for the Senator at all. :-(
If it’s his time to go, I hope he goes peacefully in his sleep.
Stay off this thread. Thank you.
