Mods work their butts off and do not get paid. Most if not all of us are also monthly donors so don't you dare make comments like that again.
In view of the warning in the original post, I don’t think I have anything to say.
My prayers that the Senator repent of his sins. I know he will be forgiven.
My prayers that God shows mercy to the Senator and his family. These will be very hard times for them all.
My prayers that someone get the Senator a pen, some paper, and a flat surface to write his memoirs on. He has so many interesting anecdotes with events and names that he should be able to share with history.
Prayers up for Senator Kennedy and his family.
My prayer is that he and those who love him know and feel God’s love in their lives, and that he be reconciled to God.
Prayers for Senator Kennedy and his family.
Even this hardened rightwinger will say a prayer for him.
Sorry to hear about Dave.I will pray for him Hetty_Fauxvert.I will pray for the Senator too.
While the news of the brain tumor has been greeted with dismay, I think with the eyes of faith, one can see the mercy of God. We all must meet our end and Senator Kennedy has been granted the grace of reflection and preparation for his own twilight days. How many of those who depart this earth today will do so suddenly? Death will come in a wreck by the side of the highway or their hearts will simply cease to beat. Death will come swiftly and without warning and many will likely be unprepared.
May God bless and be merciful to the Senator from Massachussets as he prepares to make the same final definitive journey which we all must make; alone.
For Senator Kennedy:
Psalm 30
Thanksgiving for Recovery from Grave Illness.
A Psalm.
A Song at the dedication of the temple of David.
1I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up,
and did not let my foes rejoice over me.
2O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
3O Lord, you brought up my soul from Sheol,
restored me to life from among those gone down to the Pit.*
4Sing praises to the Lord, O you his faithful ones,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5For his anger is but for a moment;
his favour is for a lifetime.
Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
6As for me, I said in my prosperity,
I shall never be moved.
7By your favour, O Lord,
you had established me as a strong mountain;
you hid your face;
I was dismayed.
8To you, O Lord, I cried,
and to the Lord I made supplication:
9What profit is there in my death,
if I go down to the Pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
10Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me!
O Lord, be my helper!
11You have turned my mourning into dancing;
you have taken off my sackcloth
and clothed me with joy,
12so that my soul* may praise you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you for ever.
I for one would like to take time to commend you and the others for working so hard to ensure that Freepers do not get portrayed as cold hearted, etc. by deleting the ignorant comments of others on the Sen. Kennedy threads.
It does not speak well of us as a group when a few a**** have to post cruel and unneccessary hateful posts against a man who is very ill.
In Jesus name. Amen.
Jesus, you are our deliverer, the true physician who comes all the way from heaven to visit the sick. Take Senator Kennedy into your hands. Help him to resolve to put all his trust in you alone and patiently undergo any treatment.
If you, our Savior, will not heal Senator Kennedy, his case is beyond hope. But if he is to be healed, it is you, Lord, who will heal him. You alone uproot the sickness and give lasting health.
You are our salvation and life, our comfort and glory, our hope in this world and our crown in the world to come.
Amen.
For Edward Moore Kennedy, Lord hear our prayers.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
Prayers of one decade of the Rosary for Sen. Kennedy and his family.
I recently read to my surprise (a pleasant one, though) that Jerry Falwell and Ted Kennedy were friends. I bet the late Reverend is having a pray-a-thon going for the Senator.
I also recall that one of Kennedy’s sons lost a leg to cancer many years ago.
