As much as I don't like the old man I don't wish this on anyone. I just recently lost a family member to last stage glioblastoma. As brain masses go, its the big, big daddy. I hope he does not suffer long. Pray for him and his family.

God help them when and as Bill Clinton approaches his final days.

God help them when and as Bill Clinton approaches his final days.

If it takes place around a Christmas season they can simply put the Yule Log video on and shut the site down for a few days.

Heck, we have so many old 'Rats these days. Byrd, Leahy, Conyers, Dingell.

I hope McCain is in good health. This place would implode if, God forbid, something happened to him. Ugly wouldn't begin to describe it.

Nope. They both started out life that way, but that's it.

Only if one employs the term 'Christian' in a broader cultural sense, including one's upbringing, would it apply to Hitler and/or Stalin. But in that case, most everyone in traditionally Christian countries would be considered 'Christian': converts to other religions, agnostics, atheists, and so on.

Ideology and power served as a god to both men.

Six months to a year, and his final roar will be, I’m guessing, a speech at the convention and a few well-planned and timed speaking stops during the Fall campaign. A well placed illness for the Obama campaign, although they didn’t hope or plan for it. Prayers to his family.

12 months was a blessing—normal is 6 months.

I’m sorry for you who, but he deserves prayer also. He has made awful decisions in his life—and the consequences have been severe, both to Mary Jo and himself...they were detestable, and wrong. But I believe that the G-d of the Universe will forgive him, at least, I pray that he will, because I have committed acts as wrongful (in my mind), as he has. I pray, that given this death sentence, that he comes to know the G-d of the Universe.

We are told that God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked. We shouldn’t either.

Brain Cancer is no joke: it is an ugly death. I would not wish it on Osama Bin Laden (the bastinado or the rope would do fine for OBL) — surely the Senator has done no evil of the same magnitude as Bin Laden.

Prayers up for Sen Kennedy and his Family. God is merciful, and He knows His own. I seek the Senator’s full recovery and, failing that, the Blessing of peace with his Maker, free from pain.

They’ve made huge advances in treating brain tumors. Yes, there are very aggressive ones — my wife’s cousin died last August only a day after diagnosis and probably only weeks after it developed. But honestly, it the tumor is primary and treatable, brain tumors are one of the better cancers to have — if that makes any sense.

A lot of brain tumors don’t metasticize and that is often what ends up killing people.

My mother had cancer of the frontal lobe. From the time she had a seizure until she was gone was only two and a half months.

Cancer swells and that’s okay for any other part of the body. With cancer of the brain, however, there isn’t any room in the skull for swelling so the patient usually winds up screaming in agony and tearing at him/herself. Mom had laetrile (aka Vitamin B-17, amygdalin) and that saved her from the dry heaving, headaches, screaming, and the cancer odor. She died peacefully.

Teddy Kennedy should be so lucky but he will be given, most likely, chemo and heavy sedation.

Read “World Without Cancer” by G. Edward Griffin for the causes of cancer, the effectiveness of laetrile, and why/how Big Pharma keeps laetrile out of the hands of the American people (it’s inexpensive and can’t be patented). In addition, read “Beating Cancer with Nutrition” by Patrick Quillin, Ph.D.

BTW, I’ll keep ol’ Ted in my prayers ...

I haven't seen anything on how this condition might impair cognitive thought.
The simple things like not understanding what is is one's hand with the eyes closed and some other minor things I understand, but does it have any subtle or overt influence on higher reasoning?

Might explain some things, considering that he has had this for quite some time now.

I find it difficult to wish horrible damnations on people too. No matter how much I disagree with them.

It just is not Christian and I feel like God listens to everything.

I actually shed a tear for Teddy and the Kennedy family when I heard the sad news.. I still hate his policies, but I've never hated the man..

I pray God uses this to make Senator Kennedy face the truth, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior.

Amen. Father, forgive me my improvident thoughts.

You are right in stating that his exit might affect the political landscape. But, if it does, I don't see how it can really be that big of a deal for very long. There are plenty of other socialists in the wings to fill the void. I suspect that after a suitable period of moaning and rending of garments, the faithful will pick up the banner of socialism and again continue their assault on our few remaining freedoms.

I agree that there are many who will try to foist those ideas following him; however, just as Reagan was unique and towered above many others, the Kennedy mystique chiefly inherited from his brothers has given him more power and position than he might have earned on his own. So his resignation will create a vacuum in many respects, and I say, thank you God for whatever favor this will create for conservatism, without taking away sympathy for the unfortunate impacts on him and his family.

In all of my life, I will never hear a more moving speech than that given by Ted, at Bobby’s funeral. For that alone, I will always respect the man.

With all due respect, the great bulk of his speech was a long quotation from Bobby Kennedy, the deceased. He just added the bookends around it that the family loved him, quite naturally so.

...He died of cancer. Beyond an obituary in the local paper, there was no media notice of his death. No maudlin tears, no breathless praise.

Well said. How wonderful for you and your children that you had a dad you could truly respect and admire. God bless him where he is, and thank you for your words of praise for such a man.

I pray that he puts both his spiritual and temporal affairs in order. I disagree with Kennedy on most issues. But the fate of his soul is at stake and I pray he return to God and seek forgiveness for all his sins. Especially his public support of abortion which must grieve our Savior greatly.

Christ also died for this sinner and I pray that this lost sheep returns to the Shepherd.
