Biting the Bullet: Its Either McCain or Obama
By Rene Guerra
Never, ever, in her 232 years of illustrious existence, has America been at such a dire juncture where her enemies and rivals--domestic and foreign--are so determinedly poised and so advantageously positioned to undoing her.
Islamofascism has vowed to destroy America, at any cost; “Death to America” the frenzied, mouth-foaming, suicidal Iranian throngs cry. Our brave troops in Iraq and Afghanistan keep fighting day in and day out the terrorists that the Saudi Wahhabis, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Iranian Shiite fundamentalists, and the Syrian Baathists would otherwise be sending to slaughter us, here, on American soil, as the first two did through al-Qaida did on 9/11 . . . or even worse.
Tanks and intercontinental thermonuclear missiles are rolling, back again, in military parades at Red Square, in a chilling return of Russian bellicosity. Russia, at the same time, coerces and extorts the European nations with her vast production and proven deposits of oil and natural gas.
China--in essence the perfect embodiment of a fascist state, worse, with world-hegemonic aspirations based on ancient geocentric traits--soars, unchecked, to powers that no one can predict where will end. At the same time, China has an exceedingly positive trade balance vis-à-vis the U.S.A., is the owner of a sizeable chunk of America’s $12.5 Trillion owed to foreign interests, and is the second largest foreign holder of securities issued by the U.S. Treasury...

No, wrong. Self-described conservatives need to decide whether they love their country enough to vote against Barak Hussein Obama, and his entourage of officials, judges, etc. taking it over. As with Bill Clinton, assume it would be at least 8 years if not another 16.
Nope (although many thanks for the compliment). Just a staggeringly astute judge of character, is all. ;)
Breathtakingly boneheaded. Again, this is the way elections have been conducted in this country for several hundred years, by this point: Candidate attempts to garner votes from Voting Bloc by meeting said Voting Bloc's needs. Candidate does not meet needs; Candidate doesn't get votes. Period. End of sentence. End of paragraph. End of story.
The fumblefooted attempt at automatically tarring any conservatives not in agreement with you as "not loving their country enough" was good for a small, derisive snort of justifiably condescending amusement, however.
Love of country is a foreign concept to some. They remind of those warped Muslims who kill their daughters for the sake of “honor”.
The phrase “None of the above” comes to mind. I will actively campaign against McCain and Obama. Neither is CIC material.
So while Mr. McCain is fighting the islam-fascists in front of us, he’ll be opening the backdoor to allow in the UN communists with his global warming scam.
So when the troops come home from the middle east, they’ll find a fascist federal bureaucrat on their doorstep stealing their money for cap and trade scams and telling them how to live every moment of their life.
Is that what you’re advocating?
“The phrase None of the above comes to mind.”
Yep, this entire article can be summed up as “Suck it up; you’ve got no where else to go.”
Of course nary a mention of the fact that repeatedly sucking it up is what got us to this point in the first place. I sucked it up for the Reps for the last time in 2006. No more.
I have a feeling that “None of the above” is going to do very well at the polls this year.
Mutiny at the Convention: The Last, Best Hope for Conservatives in 08
Organizing a mutiny at the grassroots level shouldnt be all that hard to jumpstart.
I dont know how it is in other states, but in Tennessee, the names of the delegates were on the primary ballot under each candidates name. A lot of those name are familiar, as I am sure they are for others in each state.
The starting point would be to CONTACT THOSE PEOPLE...EN MASSE...and let them know how you feel. If there are mass abstentions on the first ballot at the Convention, McCain wont get the votes he needs.
What Im getting at here is to do what it takes to GET THE NOMINATION PROCESS TO THE SECOND BALLOT. If that could happen, then all bets are off, a raucus caucus ensues and the true fight for the heart and soul of the GOP can really begin.
Its not impossible. We know who our delgates are...CONTACT THEM.
Barack Obama, in Portland, on Iran: “They don’t pose a serious threat to us.” This breathtakingly naive statement alone disqualifies Obama as CIC.
If this is the best the United States can propose for the highest office in the land, I’ll leave that entry blank on my ballot. Perhaps I’ll vote third party or write-in Ann Coulter.
I guess you are very weak. This country is being put in great peril solely because the GOP can't dredge up a candidate that is worth the vote. You should turn your anger against those who actually commit the sin, not those who are pressing hard for rectification. You are asking those who can fix the problem to succumb to leftist mediocrity as you have done.
You act as if by some kooky wave of a magic wand, the GOP should anoint some conservative as their candidate. YOU had your chance. Conservatives didn't vote in enough numbers to nominate a conservative candidate and now you whine and moan and BLAME everyone else. Just pathetic!
“Biting the Bullet: Its Either McCain or Obama”
That’s no choice! That’s like the killer holding a pistol and giving a guy a “choice” of “Head or chest?”
I voted in the primary. I did not cast the vote for McLame.
You are entirely right, though. So called conservatives did not vote particularly conservative. I think the problem stems from so many people trying to guess how everyone else would vote. They like to vote for the "winner" rather than the one from their heart.
This Nation is sliding to the left. Conservatives really don't vote that way anymore. I will continue to vote my heart, even if there will be a landslide for the dorks. I used to compromise at lot. I've nothing left with which to compromise.
Bullcrap. You DO NOT earn a conservatives vote, at least not this ones’ by being only slightly less disgusting than the other guy.
You post as though the G.O.P. candidate, no matter how odious and dispicable was somehow owed our votes, and that we (conservatives) somehow have an obligation to whore out our beliefs like certain Republican voters do every cycle.
You are wrong. We have no such obligation. I am a conservative, my values and principles do not change. I have about 5 top issues to which I cling tightly. Cross me on any of them and you don’t get my vote. Period.
Bump that post!
They (conservatives?) remind of those warped Muslims who kill their daughters for the sake of honor.

It is a very warped/demented thinking to make a pretense of standing on principle by taking action that will destroy the very thing (country, daughters, etc.) that those supposed principles are claimed to be in the best interest of or protect.
No, how about in the real world, not some delusional, fantasy world, at this point in time, we will have either John McCain or Barack Obama as our next President. Any action of: voting for either one, voting against either one, or voting for neither, WILL absolutely effect the outcome of who becomes POTUS. To claim any other reality is certified KOOKSVILLE! So, since I am not a kook, I am an adult who understands my action or lack of WILL make one of these men POTUS, I will choose the one that will do the least harm to this country.
It has ZERO to do with whoring anything, since I'm not voting FOR McCain.
And please, save the fake nobility of principle. There is nothing whatsoever noble or principled by helping inflict the greater evil on this country.
