Man alive nearly 179 hours after quake

YINGCHUAN, Sichuan, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Ma Yuan Jiang, a power plant executive, was rescued at around 00:50 a.m. Tuesday from the rubble in Wenchuan County of southwest China's Sichuan Province, nearly 179 hours after the May 12 earthquake.

The 31-year-old survivor was pulled by a Shanghai rescue team from the debris of a flattened power plant, after more than 30 hours' efforts.

Rescuers found Ma at afternoon on May 18 at the debris of a flattened office building, when they were digging hole trying to reach Yu Jinhua, a colleague of Ma.

Followed by an amputation operation, Yu was rescued at about 6:00 p.m. on May 18. Rescuers then turned to Ma and sent sweetened water to him through a straw.

Ma was receiving treatment at the temporary clinic of the Chongqing No. 3 Military Hospital, and will be sent by air to a hospital in Chengdu.

He was a power generation department vice director of the Yingxiu Bay Hydro-Power Plant.

Don't think you read this or any of the other posts upthread (incl. yours...LOL): "You are amusing at times - like an inadvertent clown - and that’s the only reason I continue to respond to your posts."

William F is no longer with us and we have just nominated McCain as the party stalwart.

Humm, I haven’t been here for a while and I don’t know what has happened these days. But when I got back, I saw your post to me and many other Americans. And I think there must be some mistakes or misunderstandings between us. I am a Chinese, which you may judge from my name. Perhaps you mistook me as an American? I’m not sure... See you...

Conservative first, registered Republican distant second.

And no, I did not, and will not vote for McCain.

Your are a Republican first. That is your registration. You an not escape responsibility for something your freely chose to join.

Your party (and by extension that is you) voted to put McCain as the nominee. That’s just the facts.

Here is a link to most of the political parties in the U.S. You are free to pick anyone of them and register or you can create your own if you like.

You might like the message but don’t shoot the messenger. Are you or are you not a registered Republican? I did not sign you up. You can complain about your party, but you are still registered that way. That by default make you we.

Change your party if you don’t want to be associated with Republicans and who the party nominates. Only you can change the fact that you are associated with both.
