If we're going to spend the money think big.
Metallic fluorescent tangerine flake streamline baby!
I love it when he says that "coal is the enemy"--- when the creep really means humans are the enemy. Perthetic...
Yep, that’s the dope!
No way this moron is a climate scientist with any kind of training that would credibly justify that title. Probably saw Prof Gore's presentation and that was all the education he needed.
I feel better now. I will gladly leave the future of the Earth and my family in the capable hands of a paleontologist and popular author. But not just any paleontologist and popular author. I would like to be in the capable hands of a paleontologist and popular author with an intellectual-looking beard, looking at a distant vision of a world incomprehensible to ordinary folk like me, and with a bemused smile contemplating those brilliant solutions that escape ordinary folk like me. It is not for us to know or speculate whether gases like sulfur put in the upper atmosphere will save our souls. Let us, please, be satisfied and confident in letting noted paleontologists and popular authors make those crucial scientific decisions for us. Sulfur away! We are saved, saved!!
I think it's dim enough.
Flannery sounds like an Aussie Paul Ehrlich, the author of “The Population Bomb”. All of Ehrlich’s dire predictions failed miserably. He is still a hero to the enviro-wackos.
The problem is that the government folks take him seriously.
Are there health risks associated with pumping sulphur into the atmosphere?
Since this guy is obviously one of those anti-capitalist leftists that think the West has it too good compared to third world countries,
I’m guessing he wants to use the hydrogen sulfide option,
so that the whole world will smell like China.
Most of these ideas are goofy at best and eventually discredited. The question I have is a man like this was able to convince one country to implement this idea or even convince just one man with a bunch of money (Al Gore) to do this on their own there isn’t much the rest of the world could do to stop it is there...?
Global Warming on Free Republic
We can probably burn high-sulfur coal as long as we mandate scrubbers. (What else were they there for?)

Now they have rounded the corner to dangerous.
We had a frost warning up for last night and it’s supposed to be about as cold tonight.
I wish the MMGW nuts would shut up. I hate having someone/something always prove them wrong.
Lemon Yellow Sky?
good point, they must mean sulfur dioxide.
This guy is bizarre...and he’s a so called scientist?
Then put the sulphur back into diesel fuel (that you recently demanded be removed) and everything will be fine.
A$$hole.
