The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Ohio shows a toss-up between John McCain and Barack Obama. McCain attracts support from 45% of the Buckeye States Likely Voters while Obama earns support from 44%. Nationally, the race between McCain and Obama is also very competitive in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

What I find surprising is that Hitlery runs stronger than Osama in Ohio, even though she’s ulikely to be the nominee.

(Karl Marx supported free trade. Does that make him a free market conservative?)

LOL, by the time the GOP finishes with him, Juan will win Ohio by 60+ percentage points if he’s up against Barack Hussein Obama.

Important to note though that McCain has a +6% favorability rating over Obama. It looks close but McCain would still almost certainly win under this scenario. Anyway, Obama has had a good set of polling from Ras this time and he still doesn’t beat McCain in Ohio. Hopeful, real hopeful.

Look for “spillover” into Ohio from Kentucky and SW Pennsyvlania. Obama is getting crushed there in a way Kerry never did.

Why in the heck is this communist polling at 44%. This country has gone mad.
To: Clintonfatigued
Why is that a surprise, Barry hasn’t won any of the major states anywhere, by any margin through this whole campaign?

"Why in the heck is this communist polling at 44%. This country has gone mad."How would the average voter EVER know what he stands for if he only listens to the news?
They only describe him as a rock star and an agent for change.....NEVER about what he would do...

I know, but I’m not a rocket scientist and I can figure it out. People in this country must be in a coma and dumb as a box of rocks.

To have a chance, McCain must win either Ohio or Pennsylvania. If he were to win both of these states, he almost assuredly will be the next President.

YOU care... ever noticed how many don't?
How many can't be bothered with politics?
Only now, even when they least expect it, it could ruin them...

Almost certainly true but I have envisioned a couple scenarios where we can win without either. If we win NH we can write off Ohio outright (holding all other states). If we win NH and WI we can lose Ohio, Nevada, and NM - or Ohio and Iowa, Ohio and Colorado. Still I believe we will win Ohio.

John McCain will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

I live in the conservative area of Ohio, the S.E. near the river. The people, although conservative, have long-standing ties to unions and a strong democratic machine that works the community action agencies and is expanding its influence. The GOP here is known, not for conservatism, but for being rich, country club types, most of whom I know are arrogant, in general. Bob Ney is sitting in prison for good reason, but his departure and it's circumstance hasn't helped.
Conservatism is strong here among the people, but the local GOP leadership couldn't give a sh*t.
