Matthews Makes Nice With Olbermann
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 05/19/2008 3:33:32 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Can it be coincidence that on the day it's reported that Keith Olbermann is feuding with Chris Matthews, the Hardball host goes out of his way to shine up the clown prince of Countdown?

As NewsBuster Noel Sheppard has noted, the New York Post, in the course of reporting today that Olbermann has been "lashing out" at his network's talking heads, states that Olbermann's "feuding with 'Hardball' host Chris Matthews is nothing new."

So on this evening's Hardball, how does Matthews promote tomorrow night's primary coverage that he will be co-anchoring with Olbermann?

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Remember, tomorrow night with Keith Olbermann, we're going to be working together for complete coverage of the Oregon and Kentucky primaries. As I said, for me it's Christmas morning. I don't know how it feels to Keith.

“Legs will tingle”

You mean as in “Girley Men” leg tingles, I’m sure.

From MSNBC Hardball with Chris Mathews (transcript)
March. 21, 2006:

TAYLOR(spokesman for freerepublic.com): We have kids that wear Che Guevara shirts here in the United States.

MATTHEWS: Yes, but they're kind of cute at this point, aren't they? They're not about somebody out to get us now. I think there's a difference. I mean, that's kind of camp almost, isn't it?...is Che Guevara the symbol of hate in the United States anymore?

TAYLOR: Yes.

MATTHEWS: I don't think so. I mean, a lot of our kids wear them. I see kids wearing them all the time, even my kids wear them. It's like a Robert Marley T-shirt at this point.

Laura Ingraham blasts Keith Olbermann for saying or strongly implying that our soldiers in Iraq our ruthless killers: HERE.

Mark Levin also points out that Olbermann doesn't even believe half the stuff he says, but stakes out his position to be the anti Bill O'Reilly. Olbermann is a true mediocrity who is jealous of O'Reilly.

Equivalent to a Robert Marley t-shirt?

Is it or is it not true that Che Guevarra has personally shot people in the back of the head?

Enough!

I guess to the left, leftist murderers are OK.

How about if we come up with a T-shirt of three or four key democrats with Lee Harvey Oswald peeking out of a 5th floor window in the background with the words “Where’s Lee Harvey Oswold when you need him?”

For the record, Lee Harvey Oswald is much less offensive than Che Guevarra who may have personally murdered hundreds simply because they wouldn’t give up what they spend their whole life trying to earn.

Yours truly,
The Woim

How can you be nice to a porcupine? The porcupine does not understand the concept of being loved and accepted for who he is, it is his nature to “shoot” quills.

Keith Olbermann does not even come up to the minimum standards of polite porcupine society.

Matthews: "even my kids wear them"

As if that is a surprise. I'm surprised he isn't wearing a Chi shirt on air.

Olbermann would have made a great Nazi. He’s the type that would have turned in the Frank family.

One of my son's friends came over wearing a che t shirt. I told him he can not step foot in my house wearing that anti American crap and asked him to change his shirt or leave. The kid asked why l did that a few weeks later and I told him why. He was surprised because he thought it was a retro counterculture symbol.

His stylized image also later became a countercultural symbol worldwide.

Guevara became an icon of leftist revolutionary movements worldwide, as well as a global merchandising sensation. He has been venerated and reviled in dozens of biographies, memoirs, books, essays, documentaries, songs, and films. Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century

The exact number of Che’s Cuban victims has not been verified, but include people he personally

executed and those put to death under his orders. Che’s biographers consistently report that he sent

thousands to the firing squad. Over 4,000 deaths are documented to have taken place in Cuba, mostly

firing squad execution, in the first three years after Fidel Castro’s takeover (1959-1962). Che Guevara

was one of the regime’s chief executioners during this period and is said to have acknowledged ordering

“several thousand” executions. All took place without affording the victims fair trials and due process of law.

The Truth About Che Guevara- Murderer (Video)

http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/02/truth-about-che-guevera-muderer-video.html

In his book Che Guevara: A Biography, Daniel James writes that Che himself admitted to ordering “several thousand” executions during the first year of the Castro regime. Felix Rodriguez, the Cuban-American CIA operative who helped track him down in Bolivia and was the last person to question him, says that Che during his final talk, admitted to “a couple thousand” executions. But he shrugged them off as all being of “imperialist spies and CIA agents.”
