State GOP chair: McCain 'kind of like Jesus

Columbus — Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart said Saturday that the party's presumed presidential nominee has a lot in common with Jesus Christ.

"John McCain is kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross," Everhart said as she began the second day of the state GOP convention. "He never denounced God, either."

Everhart was praising McCain for never denouncing the United States while he was being tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

"I'm not trying to compare John McCain to Jesus Christ, I'm looking at the pain that was there," she said.

She’s a typical GOP groupie. As long as the party can take advantage of her ignorance, they’ll allow her on the tarmac. She appears to be a fool for the long haul. To me, she’s another Rev. Wright. Neither of them know Jesus Christ but they think they do. Freedom of religion is not the same as trashing of religion but hey, she’s on the tarmac and that’s all that matters, right? The future of the country is not a concept this woman can grasp. She’s a shallow goopster-climber. People like her have helped the RNC lose their base.

I'm not a Catholic but she probably thinks GWB is Michael the Archangel. IMO, she's suffering from party overdose. She seems to worship the GOP in a cult-like manner which most GOPers do not. Party loyalty and love is blind but she got tarmac time and to cult-like party members, this is how they get their kicks.

I an am independent now because people like Sue are "yes" men for people like McCain. The GOP needs their base but this is the best they can do????? What a delusional, misguided woman imo.
