CANNES, France (Reuters) - Indiana Jones returns 19 years after his last adventure, and early reaction suggests the majority of Cannes film festival's notoriously picky critics are happy the whip-wielding archaeologist is back.
Harrison Ford reprises his most famous role in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," a high-octane fantasy set in the 1950s when Jones no longer faces Nazis but a KGB agent after the ultimate Cold War weapon -- mind control.
There are plenty of jokes about 65-year-old Ford's age, and he reunites with Karen Allen, co-star in the first Indiana Jones movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" released in 1981.
"Not as easy as it used to be," Jones mutters early on.

Ok, she’s 41. She’s definitely younger but not a *really* young chick. (Except for me. I’m 41 and I’m *really* young ;)
Ford and Callista
Hey, like I said, I’m 41. And if I’d had the chance at him, she wouldn’t be anywhere in the picture, lol.
:)
Have to hand it to these guys, Shia LaBeouf is a great fit for this movie.
I agree. He was excellent in that golf movie, 'The Greatest Game Ever Played.'
wow, Cate Blanchett is stunning in that picture. She’s also younger than me so it must be a staged photo with lots of makeup.
Ford was offered $485 a week for American Graffiti, and turned it down as he was making twice that as a carpenter. They upped it to $500, so he took it. After all, it was a small budget. So small that Ford found himself berated for taking two doughnuts one lunch-time.
Is there such a thing as a 12 year old Liberal Chinese Factory Worker?
That scene where Karen Allen drinks that big fat Nepalese guy under the table in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is classic.
Rent this movie based on a true story starring Shia La Beouf...
Karen Allen in 'Raiders'
Ford in 'American Graffiti'...
Harrison Ford has always been one of my favorite actors - his work in American Graffiti, Star Wars and Indiana Jones made me a hardcore fan.
I can’t wait to see it!
Me too!
Did you see him in ‘Transformers’? I think that’s where he displayed his ability to potray a little grittiness.
