This is actually old news. The original Atlantic Monthly interview was posted here several days ago. Nonetheless, it's a good idea to keep emphasizing that "Osama" Obama will be the most anti-Israel American presidential nomineee of a major party since Israel came into existence.

His recent gaffe about "all 57 states" can be interpreted as a Freudian slip, where he was thinking about the 57 Moslem States in the world.

I’m not one to defend Obama, but this article was misleading. What Obama was talking about as being a “constant sore” was not the State of Israel but the Israeli-Arab-Palestinian crisis. That was my impression of the matter after reading what Obama actually said.
