Astrologers to predict next president at meeting

DENVER --Picking a winner of the presidential contest is front and center at what's being billed as the largest astrologers' convention in years.

More than 1,500 astrologers from 45 countries have descended on Denver, site of the Democratic National Convention in August, for the "United Astrology Conference: Rockin' the Universe."

The gathering concludes Tuesday with a panel predicting a presidential winner in November.

Key to those picks: Astrological charts for John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And integral to those charts: The candidates' exact birth times.

A hush fell over the convention hall late Thursday when Dallas astrologer Joni Patry announced a birth time for Obama -- one she said she got from a client with connections to the campaign: Aug. 4, 1961, at 7:11 p.m.

McCain's birth time was embedded like a gold nugget in a Mother's Day campaign ad. His mother, Roberta, mentioned that her son was born Aug. 29, 1936, at 11 a.m.

"All the astrologers are like, 'Wow,"' Patry said. "As an astrologer getting his birth time, that's everything."

Clinton's birth time remains a moving target.

"I think they're hip to us and just don't want us to know that information," joked astrologer Shelley Ackerman, who will serve on Tuesday's panel.

Astrologers to predict next president at meeting

They should do some good and predict gas prices over the next few years. I need to make a budget.

No no, I think the client said that he was born in a 7-11...

You know, it's not all that hard to predict something that has already happened.

Do demon spawn have birth times, or do they just morph into existence?

Hillary doesn’t have a birth time: she is immortal, and she appears whenever her country is in dire peril and in need of a leader.

The Antient Legends all say so.

Hillary is a creature of Mythology: in olden days the minstrels would sing of her exploits. Remember that blonde chick that used to hang around with Xena Warrior Princess? Well, that’s our Hillary. She’s that old.

She doesn’t have fingerprints, either. Or a shadow. Or even a reflection in the mirror.

She’s like “Highlander” — she lives forever unless someone cuts off her head.

The Nostradamus side says Obama is MOBUS predicted.

Some prophecy folks are saying Hillary.

Forget those astrologers on this. Even talented psychics have gotten the next President wrong.

They will announce their correct pick after the election. :)

What a bunch of idiots. They do their discipline a disservice. It’s the tendency of the millions of voters who will decide the winner. If they want to try to predict the outcome of the election then they need to run the charts of every registered voter. Astrology cant predict outcomes of anything. It only illustrates through metaphor what influences may or may not be present at a specific time.

A. So what's the "winning" astrologist get for a prize?

B. In order for this to work, the astrologers would also have to ascertain the birth details of the parents and siblings going back at minimum 5 generations.

Any astrologer who doesn't know this isn't worth squat.

Which one will depend on if her Birth Date was really June 6, 1946.

They don't need Hillary's birth time......she was never born....she was dealt ....off the bottom of some horrible deck.

Maybe tarot cards, since they're big with those superstitious liberals that like to tell everyone their birth sign.
