America's most miserable cities (Guess who is No. 1? Hint: It's Kwame's Town)

Imagine living in a city with the country's highest violent-crime rate and second-highest unemployment rate. As an added kicker, you need more Superfund dollars allocated to your city to clean up toxic-waste sites than just about any other metropolitan area.

And Da Maya refuses to step aside and take up residence in a cell! His crimes are much, much worse than simple perjury or embezzlement - He's enslaved a City and made it more like Zimbabwe than an American City. Absolutely disgusting!

I was born and raised in Deetroit. I left there in 1976 and the population was about 1.5 million. 32 years later the population is 1/2 that. The only people left are those too poor, too criminal, or too stupid to move someplace else.

Such is the legacy of years of democrat rule, the “Great Society” programs of the 60’s, etc.

The dhimms can’t wait to do this to the rest of the country and the Pubbie’s are only too happy to bend over and oblige them.

I’m really getting discouraged lately. Its beginning to seem like a new revolution is the only way back to the true America and I’m not talking about a revolution at the ballot box.

I see they factor in commute times and weather. I never heard that the commute was that bad in Detroit area. Also, some of us LIKE the weather here.

New York commutes are not the equivalent of commutes elsewhere in stress because one only has to sit there, not pay attention to the road.

Kwame da Pimp didn’t start it. Detroit hasn’t had a decent Mayor since Albert Cobo 50 years ago.

Well, I live in Bloomfield Hills, right on a Golf Course and, in the last ten years have been to Detroit exactly three times (The Auto Show each time).

I do not share your affinity for the weather. IMO it sucks! There are about three months out of twelve that are OK. (I came here from Calif so I'm probably a little spoiled that way)

"The only people left are those too poor, too criminal, or too stupid to move someplace else."

A perfect description of the voters who elected the current SOB in the first place. There are some decent Council members but I'm afraid they'll be overtaken by the army of Kwame's relatives and synchphants who populate virtually every level of this cesspool of a City's government.

We could have made 6th or 7th if they considered the public schools.

Lots of nice gangs, like MS13, proudly call Charlotte "home".

I drove downtown from Plymouth for jury duty Thursday. It probably took me 25 minutes door to door, and that was taking an alternate route to avoid construction. As to the weather, the three months you like are the three my husband complains about! I like the seasons, and the summer temperatures are pleasant enough to actually stay outside!

Here is the list:

1.) Detroit, MI
2.) Stockton, CA
3.) Flint, MI
4.) New York City, NY
5.) Philadelphia, PA
6.) Chicago, IL
7.) Los Angeles, CA
8.) Modesto, CA
9.) Charlotte, NC
10.) Providence, RI

I admit, I’m surprised that such misery giants as Gary, IN and Camden, NJ didn’t show up.

Let me save you guys some trouble. The Midwest and the East Coast are miserable. To escape this misery, go West.

Glad you like it. Maybe you would like to buy my home so I can ditch this place. Besides all of the crap this poll cites, it appears we have a full blown Real Estate Depression here as well.

I am still trying to determine the attractiveness of the area as, again, I do not share your love of season change (I'll bet serious money that your children leave, if they have the option as well)

Yes, because California is clearly better than Iowa.

I'm not. An indication of how bad Detroit sucks that it beats out Gary Indiana by a mile!
