Texas: Plano man Joe Barron, 52, a minister at Prestonwood Baptist Church near Dallas, was arrested after driving nearly 200 miles to Bryan to meet who he thought was a 13-year-old girl he had been chatting with sexually online for roughly two weeks.
The girl was actually an undercover agent leading police to Barron and his car, inside of which they found condoms and a web-cam. He had been with the 26,000-member church for 18 months; they said this was the first incident of this type with Barron.
Executive pastor Mike Buster said, "We are disturbed and saddened by the reports we have heard and we are praying for the Barron family," adding that they are giving police their full cooperation. He is currently out on bond from Brazos County Jail.
I'd be very surprised if the church did not see to the needs of his wife and children for a period of time. They are not at fault.
I sincerely doubt his wife had anything to do with this - and your question about she didn’t “satisfy” him has more to do with HIS sin than with hers...
She could have been doing everything right and he still would have gone somewhere else, because evidently he is a child molesting pervert. He’s not interested in a grown woman, much less one to which he is married.
Too bad there are thousands more like him out there who dont get caught.”
And that’s just in the churches.
I really don't think Jesus Christ, the Lord, cares whether or not they are in their Sunday dress or how the music is played as long as His name is lifted up.
No wonder the Bible is not their standard.
Do you have the Biblical gift of discernment, because that's a pretty big conclusion you draw from a website ?
No telling what the wives do online...
That's just a plain ole' nasty comment.....
Prestonwood has already deleted references to Joe Barron. Knowing the church as I believe I do, I’m sure he’s already gone.
I went to the staff website and can’t find Joe Barron’s name at all. There are 4 pastors; the Senior Pastor (Graham), the Teaching Pastor, Executive, and Worship.
I guess they’ve divvyed up the responsibilites. They look like a conservative church but megachurches always give me a little bit of a hitch in my spirit, so to speak. They always seem like big advertising agencies or something.
I mean, when I get to a website, get blasted by contemporary music, get offered a virtual tour and a webcam to the current diggings, well, I know Jesus was far more forward that people like to give him credit for... but I wonder if it’s really the way Jesus would prefer.
It wouldnt surprise me if she thinks it should be even younger. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is sick!
The really important thig to remember is that she is Obama's farovite justice and ideal jurist
Ann Coulter made that claim about public teachers molesting more children than clergy in her “Godless” book. I don’t have the page or footnote as I read it last year but its a fact.
“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.” This world is getting more and more wicked, and it is almost time for Jesus to come.
So. Baptist do not have Elders!
You’re as far off base as you can be. Prestonwood is one of the great churches anywhere. I’m as shocked as anyone about Joe Barron and I think your words are out line.
So, you don’t know for fact that it is a “Fact”, but because you read it in a book it must be?
Seriously?
By what you had said at first, I thought you had something more concrete to base your assertations on.
lustful derangement can easily overcome all reason, as we has seen in the sordid career of Bill Clinton and quite a few other public figures

He is better known by his online nickname “Cherry”.
Yeah, every 13yo girl I’ve ever met needs to cruise the internet to get laid. What a dope. If a 13yo girl wants to get sex, she can talk to any number of boys around her. This in the absence of good parenting, but I knew girls like this 25 years ago(and I did the right thing and tried to keep them from doing the wrong thing).
If only the Baptists would let their ministers marry!

clarification: my post above is not meant as the slightest excuse for the scumbag, all of us are responsible for our behavior, but once someone gets used to the idea that their governing principle should be “if it feels good do it!” then there are not too many restraints left except fear of public exposure — in this case that fear obviously was overcome by his lust — one of the 7 deadly sins!
