Texas: Plano man Joe Barron, 52, a minister at Prestonwood Baptist Church near Dallas, was arrested after driving nearly 200 miles to Bryan to meet who he thought was a 13-year-old girl he had been chatting with sexually online for roughly two weeks.
The girl was actually an undercover agent leading police to Barron and his car, inside of which they found condoms and a web-cam. He had been with the 26,000-member church for 18 months; they said this was the first incident of this type with Barron.
Executive pastor Mike Buster said, "We are disturbed and saddened by the reports we have heard and we are praying for the Barron family," adding that they are giving police their full cooperation. He is currently out on bond from Brazos County Jail.

So glad they caught this creep!
Too bad there are thousands more like him out there who don’t get caught.

What I find interesting is that men fall for these sting operations.
Everyone knows they are set ups just like the Nigereon Scam is a scam.

Yeah, it’s just a sign of how sick those guys are that they’re willing to take the risk.

Wow...bad enough when a Reverend gets caught in sexual sin...but involvement with a minor child is off the charts.

Gee, this guy could have simply followed the lead of the late great Martin Luther King, Jr. and just had affairs with the women of all ages in his congregation...and he would have been forgiven and the acts would have been buried within the community. He may have even had a holiday made for him. Now, he's got the newspapers and sting teams involved...and probably going to be shamed into next year.

Just can't figure out what is wrong with so many people. It is scary to go to
the sex offender registry and type in your own city, or just about any other city for that matter. So many red and green squares.

They need to secure his resignation 15 minutes ago. Don’t wait a minute. Support him with therapy and whatever else he needs, but get him as far away from the church as possible.
