Nigel Trowbridge is an unemployed father of five - including a daughter who is a year younger than Lisa - and would not strike you as a particularly ideal catch for anyone, let alone a girl who is meant to be taking her GCSEs.
To say Angela is horrified is an understatement. This, after all, is a man she had welcomed into her home as an extended member of the family.

It is an agonising situation for her mother - and a sorry reflection of a society in which young girls are sexualised at an increasingly young age.
Angela admits that Lisa was sexually active at 14 with her then boyfriend, so perhaps in this misguided girl's mind it is not such a big step to run away at 16 with a man not far off his 50th birthday.

Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy to know that a progressive mother like Angela Wright and a progressive society like the one in the United Kingdom is where America is headed?
It's not like GIRLS at FOURTEEN YEARS OF AGE can't make mature, rational decisions about being sexually active, right? It's not like GIRLS at SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE can be seduced by cunning, manipulative, and deviant old men.
I'm sure Lisa needs no guidance; I'm sure this relationship will prove so much more fruitful than entering a higher education institution with an all-A academic record.

This is where we are headed. We should remember this when we vote. There is one party that believes this is entirely natural. Also some Homosexuals have been pushing for consent being reduced to as early as 12. We all know why that is of course. Get em while they are young and supple in mind and body.

This is just one of those things that happen when the law and society believe that children should be treated as adults. They are children for gosh sakes.
Any person who doesn’t see something wrong (not just immoral, but wrong as in absolutely wrong) in possessing child pornography does not have the mental capacity necessary to function in society.
Exactly! I was trying to emphasize the word girls because, well, that’s what they are! They aren’t adults capable of making logical, mature decisions at 14 or even 16. Hell, some aren’t even at 18, but if parents aren’t allowed, or, in this instance, refuse, to parent, then these can be the consequences.
I couldn’t agree more but we have a whole political party that supports and elevates disease ridden perverts and support norming policies that place children at risk in school district after school district nationwide. We also have another political party that just smiles and talks about how tolerant they are and just want to get along.
Well, at least she had sex education. The public can rejoice in that.
