Obama blames Fox News, e-mail for likely loss in Kentucky
The Lexington Herald-Leader ^ | May 16, 2008 | Ryan Alessi

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, facing a likely defeat in next Tuesday's primary election, won't travel to Kentucky before the voting, but said he hopes to have much more time to win over Kentucky voters before the November general election.

He also blamed Fox News for disseminating "rumors" about him and said that that and e-mails filled with misinformation that have been "systematically" dispersed have hurt him in Kentucky.

"When we're able to campaign in a place like Iowa for several months and I can visit and talk to people individually, I do very well. That's harder to do at this stage in the campaign," Obama said in a brief telephone interview Friday. "And once we get past the primary, we'll be able to focus more on those states where we need to make sure people know my track record."

In contrast, Obama's rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, will make five stops in Kentucky over the weekend, including appearances at two university campuses.

Obama spoke to more than 8,000 supporters in Louisville Monday night — his first time in the state since August. He said he had hoped to spend more time in Kentucky earlier this week but was called back to Washington, D.C. for votes on Tuesday.

Since then, he’s stumped in Oregon, which will hold its primary by mail on Tuesday, and South Dakota, where Democrats vote June 3, as well as in states that have already held their primary elections, such as Michigan and Missouri.

“We’re having to campaign in a lot of different places,” Obama said. “Obviously we think Kentucky is important. People in Kentucky are concerned about the same things people are concerned about all across the country — declining wages and incomes combined with the rising costs of everything from gas_to_health care.”

Apparently Kentucky does not rate as one of Obama's top 57 states to visit.

LOL!

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

It's a line from Hamlet..... refers to a "lady" (Player Queen) who pretends to innocent intentions.

"...those states in the middle."

Is that akin to "Those people"?

Obama must be thinking of all those "typical white persons" who fill up the vast endless "states in the middle" that he cannot be bothered to know anything about.

A poor workman blames his tools.

Just like a lousy infielder looks at his glove when he makes an error.

I suspect B. Hussein Obama is beginning to implode. Whatever happened to all the happy, vacuous "change" and "hope" and "hope for change" twaddle he was spewing?
Maybe it got tired and isn't working anymore?

I wonder where all the outrage for a politician that uses the Christian Cross in the background for a campaign ad went too.

Anyone remember how the MSM went crazy over this ad with Mike Huckabee and a bookshelf in the background and how his use religious symbol was outrageous and decried on every talkshow:

The media was outraged over Huckabee’s ad because they fear the consequences of his faith.

In Obama’s case, they know it’s all window dressing for the bitter, clingy rubes, so it’s not a problem.

Welcome to the double standard.

"his tools"

"I blame FOX news for hurting my campaign with unfounded rumors about my so-called socialist views" said Barack Obama while leafing through his copy of Das Kapital.

We are always being told the race is over, that Obama has won. However, the Dem primary voters don’t seem to accept this. There is clearly a disconnect between the Dem party bosses and fawning news media and the Dem voters.

So Obama believes that all the Kentucky democrats watch Foxnews exclusively? The wheels are coming off the Obama wagon...he's revealing his inner idiot.

.

The “fire” is 2-fold

Obviously Obama’s 1.6 million dollar mansion is heated to at least 72°F plus in cold Chicago months -

And air-conditioned at “cool” temperatures in warm months

Attorney/US Senator Barack Hussein Obama and his attorney wife Michelle who works at a Chicago hospital seem unware of federal and state statutes requiring a minimum temperature of 75°F in cold weather for seniors &/or the disabled

Or perhaps they just don’t care!

The internet has been “scrubbed” of photographs of Obama’s Chicago mansion and his luxury cars
