And yeah, Huckabee is a moron. I voted Keyes in the Texas Primary.
Yeah, because Keyes jumping into a Mosh Pit to get Michael Moore's endorsement is not moronic.

cue the predictable cries of ‘racism’ and barack obama’s hackneyed, sanctimonious comments about how he’s had to deal with adversity like this all throughout the election cycle.
Idiot. Nice way to change the discussion off Hamas you dolt...

I welcome a Huckabee VP - even in light of a pandering joke.
If it was a "pandering joke" then Huckabee is telling the world that he thinks Republicans and the NRA find jokes about assassination attempts against Presidential candidates to be funny.
He makes me and everybody else who has ever owned a gun or voted for a Republican look bad.
To: af_vet_rr
Scenario:
1. Someone points a gun at Obama.
2. Obama jumps to the ground with a crash.
3. LOL??????
Can someone explain the joke to me? I’m generally good at understanding jokes, but I don’t get this one.
(The GOP may be stuck with a dud, but at least they dodged this bullet)

I’m sure race will be brought into, but it shouldn’t be - it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with making piss-poor jokes about a very serious issue in front of a group whose reputation could be seriously damaged by such a joke.

The more I think about it...here we had Obama digging his political grave and W and McCain on a high note for a change and then along comes the Huckster, afraid he's not getting any attention, and he goes and shoots off his stupid mouth with one of his lame attempts at humor. Now he will be on center stage all weekend. Will somebody please tell this clown to get off the stage.

Geez, that was not even slightly funny. Well, I’m glad he said this now, and not after he was already on the ticket...which I hope he will not be.

I suppose Mr. Comedian makes hijack and bomb jokes on airplanes and kidnapping jokes in kindergartens. Some things are just not funny. We can loathe BHO’s politics and personality (and we do) without making lame jokes that could be misconstrued. Don’t quit your day job, there, Muckabee. What was it, anyway?
To: af_vet_rr
It was just a joke. But unfortunately it wasn’t very funny and when jokes aren’t funny they often come out sounding very very bad.
I like Huckabee but he’s not a good choice for vice president. McCain needs somebody dignified and very unifying who almost no Republicans in the country have any problem with. It doesn’t have to be somebody perfect, just somebody no Republicans have any serious reason to dislike, who won’t say anything stupid during the campaign. McCain will say enough stupid things for two I am sure.

When it involves a Presidential candidate being shot at, it most definitely falls into the realm of joking about an assassination attempt. Huckabee is lucky he's not some Joe Blow sending the same joke into the newspaper or being overheard somewhere. If he were, the Secret Service would be showing up on his doorstep.
