Please note: this is NOT spam. It's just material I've gathered on my own to prepare for Saturday's Preakness (I'm a regular poster here). All of the tools below are absolutely free, including the PPs (Past Performances) and video. They often let you download stuff like this for free for the major stake races.

Videos of each of Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown's 4 prior starts, including this incredible first-time-out shocker on the grass at 14-1! (they must have somehow hid his workouts from the clockers)

Did you watch his amazing first race ever? It was on the grass and he was 14-1. You will not believe it. The rest of his races are similarly incredible. But you’re right about last year’s crop: Curlin, Street Sense, Hard Spun, on and on. It was a spectacular group.
Perhaps Free Republic should expand its scope and include threads on roulette, black jack, and slot machines.
We do have a poker list.
Alright, a few minutes ‘til post time. And the winner will be......
Ichabad Crane.
Here we go
Big Brown movin’ on,,
Big time!!!
What a race!!
I meant “show” not win ;)
Big Brown with an eaaasy win. Cruisin’
He has a big heart, as they say.. Wow!
Gonna be a heavy favorite for Belmont.
Triple Crown time, ya think?
I don’t see any horse pushing him at a mile and a quarter. just a solid race horse. one to go
For years there has been an entire Religion Forum, and sports contests are often on the Chat Forum, sometimes the News/Activism forum. We have had lengthy threads discussing movie awards shows, commenting on the evening gowns.
You've been here for 3 years and never noticed this?
Just watched it again... that horse has got afterburners!
Within like 100 yrds he pulled six lengths out, and the jockey never even pushed him!
Outstanding horse.
These have been the most dominating performances I’ve seen since ‘73 (Secretariat). ....although Spectacular Bid’s first two legs (in ‘79) were close. Short of accident/injury I can’t see Big Brown not taking home the first Triple Crown in 30 years.
jockey said he throttled him back at least 3 times holding him back,, good job, that is a solid horse.. signed a 50 million dollar deal today with a breeder.
Saving his legs for the Belmont. Smart.
Very few horses have the extra gears and can be slowed and sped up that easy and this is his 5th race. Acts very experienced and he hasn't had the experience.
Unless this Japanese horse we are hearing about there isn't any other 3 yr colts that have his speed and stamina. He did not sweat up in the Derby or the Preakness. Plus his stride is easy and glides over the dirt not through it . That is good since he has that 1/4 crack that had to be grown out and probably hasn't yet. Takes a year to growth a full hoof.
Perhaps. But, over the years, I've participated in threads on the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl, horse racing, NBA games and the like. It's a nice break from thinking about how screwed-up our country is. This year, for instance, it appears there may be a Triple Crown winner for the first time in 30 years. That's something that many hardcore politicos here enjoy as much as the McCain-Obama debacle. No betting necessary...:-)
I didn' watch it for just that reason. I'd watched the Derby---so sad about Eight Belles.
