Just 2 days ago, Hamas launched an Iranian-made Grad missile at Ashkelon, a major Israeli city, and it hit a shopping mall.

They are getting a lot more of these.

The Strip is an Iranian base. Lebanon is an Iranian base. Iraq will be an Iranian base if we leave.

Maybe so and Israel needs to figure out what to do with the Gaza and Lebanon but Hamas and Hezbos were there before the elections and they are there still. We already have Iraq under control from the Iranians unless Hussein is elected and removes troops but all Israel has to do with Gaza is unplug the Electric Plant and Gaza ceases. Israel is giving Hamas political arm every chance to make an about-face but it remains unclear whether they will. I don't think the election contributed anymore or any less to who Hamas already was. It may have legitimized them a bit more but the more they screw up the less they become legitimized.
