(CBS) O.J. Simpson's girlfriend, who had been hospitalized in February after a fall, was back in the hospital, this time with two broken legs and other serious injuries, CBS4 in Miami reported.
Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Pat Santangelo said Christie Prody was injured early Saturday morning on the Don Shula Expressway near Miller Drive after she pulled over to an emergency lane because she had two flat tires on her 2-door Mitsubishi.
Police say she rode on the flat tires for quite a distance because one of the tires was completely shredded and the other had come off the rim completely.
For an unknown reason, Prody, 32, got out of her car and tried to cross the highway. Santangelo says she nearly made it across but about two thirds of the way, she was hit by an oncoming car. Her head and arms went through that car's windshield and she landed inside the vehicle with her legs sticking out. The driver stopped and called 911 immediately.
She was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital where Santangelo says she was still being treated Wednesday for broken legs and other serious injuries.
Santangelo says Prody was cited for "being a pedestrian on an expressway" which is against the law.
Troopers found an empty bottle of Smirnoff vodka on her front seat. While toxicology reports are not back, police say she won't be charged with DUI because she was not at the wheel of the vehicle when the crash occurred.
A responding officer also found her pet dog, a Shitzu, in the vehicle after the crash. The dog was taken to a safe shelter until her family could pick it up.
In February, Prody was hospitalized with a severe head injury after she slipped and fell at a Miami gas station.
This is the woman who allowed her cat to starve to death in her condo because she couldn’t take the time to go home and feed it!!!!
I wonder if this skank has the required “skank stamp” anywhere visible to the public while she’s dressed...
There ought to be a law REQUIRING an easily visible skank stamp...
Of course — I guess her relationship with OJ is sufficient to earn her worldwide skank status....

Christie Prody has accused OJ Simpson of entering her home illegally, stealing pages from her address book and erasing her voice mails.
Police have been called to break up loud fights between the couple five times in the past seven years.
Prody was ejected from a hotel near Miami International Airport in May 2000 for kicking and slapping Simpson.
She shoved him again on July 4, 2005, and then slapped one of his friends, according to various police reports.
Now-deceased sex tape broker David Hans Schmidt allegedly tried to shop a sex tape of OJ Simpson, Christie Prody and model Patty Kuprys, a video Simpson denied existed and threatened legal action over.
Christie Prody caused a rift between Simpson and his daughter Sydney, 21, in January 2003. Police found Sydney, then 17, alone in her bedroom. She told them she and O.J. were fighting because she did not like Prody.
Sydney’s brother Justin, then 14, told investigators he got along fine with Prody … after the local Department of Children & Families received 13 anonymous calls from Miami accusing Simpson of child abuse in 2003.
Prody was reprimanded by police in 2004 for using Simpson’s disabled parking permit to park in a handicapped spot at Target.
Police recovered a stolen 30-foot motorboat - without its engines - from Simpson’s property in 2003. It appeared Simpson had no involvement.
Federal agents raided Simpson’s home in 2001 as part of an international drug investigation. Simpson wasn’t charged in the Ecstasy ring.
Christie Prody was busted for marijuana possession in Southwest Miami last year. She paid a fine for the misdemeanor drug charge.
Prody was also fined by the city of Miami in 2002, pleading no contest to animal cruelty after her cat was found dead from abandonment.
The Juice allegedly threatened to kill a local handyman who he hired to do some repairs, then accused of sleeping with Prody.

I believe in punishment of animal cruelty in kind. Stupid, heartless bitch. She and OJ deserve one another.

What does this mean?? If you have car trouble, you can't get out of your car? You can't stop to pick up debris on the highway?

You have to be pretty liquored up to not realize you’re riding the rim on one and a have a shredded tire on another. I can’t blame her for drinking though, imagine the things that come out of O.J.s mouth when they’re together. Further, can you imagine what goes through her mind everytime they sleep together or he rubs his hands on her body. Ugh, how disturbing is that?
OJ is dating women in their early 30s? What’s next?! Oh, nevermind. :)
I think that headline is a typo....It should read: “O.J.’s girlfriend hit by O.J., badly hurt”
