***Chiroux joined the US army straight out of high school nearly six years ago, and worked his way up from private to sergeant.***
This means he reenlisted during the time Iraq War was going on. He should have no complaints.

So, this poor coward thinks it is illegal. Where does he get that info from. The Congress approved military action. Thus, no illegal war, even though the Marxist’s all now deny the reason they voted for it to keep their liberal and commie supporters happy. So, it was not his fault. The same reasons he had in the beginning for all his failures and faults. Someone other than him was a fault. He was LED to do these things. Stupid ass hole. Go to hell coward.

Gosh ... we’ve never had deserters and whiners before. Must be all Bush’s fault.

Somebody who loves this loser should GOOGLE “Pvt. Eddie Slovik” and share the results.

After he's served his time, give him his dishonorable discharge, throw his butt out of the Army, and bill him for any bonuses he might have received.

Soon to be a prison bitch with any luck...
Patriotic dissent my arse...The enemy supporting propaganda from the left is working.
His statment is straight off DU,KOS, Huff and puff...
I would remind everyone that as far back as the civil war “peace democrats” AKA copperheads..encouraged solders to desert...
Once a traitor...always a traitor.

Six years down the road after promotions and reenlistments, he’s blaming it on the recruiters????

My main argument to idiots that tell me to support the troops, bring them home. EVERY SINGLE soldier (almost all) Sailors, Marines or Airman enlisted or reenlisted since the Iraq war started. There are some exceptions, I’d imagine, I know that there are some 6 year enlistments in the Navy, but for the vast majority it’s true.

Easy enough to solve - give him a dishonorable discharge and take away any benefits he has been given.

Exactly. I'd say he's got no case.

I would love to hear his rationale for that, so that he can be “calibrated”.
