What’s your beef? This is a public forum. Greyfoxx can ping any bunch of people he wants to any thread that’s pertinent to his ping list.

If I thought this was relevant to homeschoolers, I’d ping the homeschool pings lists myself.

It doesn’t mean that there’s some kind of conspiracy involved here.

“Innocence” isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Yeah, right. I'm 55 and still have emotional scars from things done to me as a child. You really don't know what you're talking about.

I have it on good authority that “F”lds has nothing to do with mormonism.

Why are you talking about mormons on an flds thread, anyway?

I wasn't. Ask MizSterious not me.

Read the posts and it will become clear. The problem is that the FLDS threads are infested with the same anti Mormon Cabal members who do attack the Mormons. They regard the FLDS And the Mormons as essentially the same.

Arranged marriages are part of major religions all over the world.

So what? That's so totally irrelevant to the laws in the state of Texas.

It doesn't matter where else it's legal, how it's practiced, when it was practiced, why it was practiced, who practiced it, whether it was your grandmother, your sister, the Pope's sister, the Queen of England, whatever..... if it's against the law where you live, you are guilty of breaking the law and can be legally punished for it.

Good for Texas for upholding their laws.

Com’on LeGrande —let’s be honest here.

If the GAs in SLC had spoken out time and again about the polygamous sects that infest Utah, Arizona, Idaho and Canada, then maybe they wouldn’t exist. They have more clout that the AG of Utah —yet they are silent and they’ve allowed this to grow until it can’t be covered up any longer.

Most of the GAs have polygamous backgrounds; heck, two of the current apostles, Oaks and Nelson, have been temple sealed to their second wives —which makes them polygamous since the sealings to their first wives is not voided.

pigeons....roost....you know the rest —

“They have been given carte blanche to “hose down the pigs” and call people “buttholes” and “cabals” etc. without reprimand.”

While a church may have a local person of authority like a pastor, reverend, etc. who might discuss inappropriate name calling with a chil member of teh congregation, that the Mormons would have a “cabal” dealing with bad mouthing anyone strikes me as superb satire.

Jonathan? Jonathon Swift, is that your shade posting on FR?

;-)

[The problem is that the FLDS threads are infested with the same anti Mormon Cabal members who do attack the Mormons.]

Of course, the “hose down the pigs” threads and now the Ecumenical threads are only “infested” with the delightsome and wholesome - no cabal there!

“They regard the FLDS And the Mormons as essentially the same. “

Well, since all their doctrine come from Joseph Smith, and their books are the same, and they both can trace their lineage back through Brigham Young to Joseph Smith, only a mass spinner could conclude they are NOT “essentially the same”.

Most would call protestants and Catholics “essentially the same”, but in order to avoid logical consistency, you must ignore the essence that grey squirrels and red squirrels are - squirrels. So, FLDS and LDS have nothing in common? Hoooey, that is a stretch now isn’t it.

May I direct your post to Greyfoxxes post #8, where he pings the anti Mormon Cabal members?

Are you still going to deny the connection?

I'm on that list and only wish that my screen name wasn't after the ............

I'm not "anti mormon" but pro truth, which would be, anti mormonism.

You are obviously ignorant of the subject in the extreme. Please go here:

www.exmormon.org

You will find around 700 personal accounts of people leaving the church and the effects of shunning, the rumor mills, the whole nasty effort to destroy people. Indeed, we had a fellow named tracer here who made threats against the website, a prime example of an enforcer. Look up “Blood Atonement”, and you will realize its vestiges still exist - to cut and cull “apostate” dissenters and “gentiles” from their midst.

Hey, you may not know about this unless you’ve been the subject of a “shunning” (I have twice), or have known others who were. My Jack Mormon boss, for example, has been cut out and shunned.

Well someone needs to go to jail.

"Jeffs was found guilty and sentenced on each count to five years to life."

Hopefully, Jeffs will remain happily married to Bubba, George, Hugh and Greg for rest of his life. May the other perps get the same!

The problem is that the FLDS threads are infested with the same LDS Organization® members who do their best trying to say that MORMONISM is NOT the religion of Flds folks!

Except that, if you criticize fLDS, then you also criticize Mormons. I know, not logical, but both seem to be true.
