The fact that receiving Hamas support does not appear to disturb Obama should worry us even more than the fact that terrorists see something in him that they really like.
The 2008 Presidential campaign has already seen a number of outlandish, and patently false, attacks. The idea that Islamic terrorists are picking a side in selection of an American president might seem to be yet another for the list if it didnt have its basis in truth.
A few weeks ago, Ahmed Yousef, a top political adviser for terrorist group Hamas, said in an interview on WABC radio in New York that the group supports Obama. We like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance, Yousef explained. Hamas, which seized control of the Palestinian Gaza last June, has long been designated as a terrorist group by the U.S. State Department.
The Obama campaign has claimed to be flattered by the fact that the Hamas endorsement compared their candidate to Kennedy. Obama himself told the Atlantic magazine that he understands why Hamas would support him. Its conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so hes not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush. Obama concluded that the perception is legitimate as long as they understand he will be unyielding in his support for Israel.
So what have Baracks Hamas friends been up to lately? Well, on the very day President Bush arrived in Israel to mark the nations 60th anniversary and to renew his push for a Palestinian state as part of elusive Israeli-Palestinian peace process, Baracks buddies fired a rocket into an Israeli shopping mall. The mall was devastated, and 14 innocent civilians were seriously injured.
The Hamas endorsement of Obama is even more interesting when viewed against the backdrop of the groups aggressive promotion of violence among young Palestinians in Gaza and in the context of a recent Al-Jazeera story about how young Palestinians in Gaza have banded together to call American voters at random asking them to vote for Obama. Rockets by night, Obama phone banks by day?
It all started at the time of the US primaries, says the pro-Obama Palestinian organizer, 23 year old Ibrahim Abu Jayyab. After studying Obamas electronic campaign manifesto I thought this is a man thats capable of change inside of America. As for potential change in the Middle East, he can also do that if he can bring peace to the area. At least this is what we hope. The full Al-Jazeera television report can be viewed here.
Obamas campaign may argue that there is no apparent direct link between the young Palestinian men and the Hamas terrorist organization. But the young phone-bankers have also received coverage from Ramattan, the Palestinian news agency, in what reads like a Hamas-generated anti-Israel press release.
Can anyone seriously believe that young Palestinian men are allowed free and easy access to operate an internet phone bank in the impoverished and violent Gaza Strip and bring that effort to the attention of the international media without Hamas knowledge and approval? The support that Barack Obama is receiving from avowed terrorist enemies of America should bother him. The fact that it does not bother him should bother us even more than the fact that terrorists see something in him that they really like.

The Trojan horse.
Because he is their supporter ? ....
I see something in him I don’t like. Muslim roots.

Barack Obama: Washington Post, Chicago Tribune investigations confirm autobiography lies; now asking: Is “African-American” a lie too?
Excerpt:
“...Here is the truth about Mr. Obama’s name, and his father’s ancestors:
True Negro tribal members of western Kenya where his father was born have Christian names, not Arabic. His father’s decision to name him with an Arabic name is a matter of his father establishing his ethnic identity in Africa - it is done deliberately to separate him from the African tribes. He may live among them, but he is not one of them. His father’s message is that he is Arabic, not Negro.
Many will find these truths unsettling. I’m often asked, “But I thought his father was Kenyan. How could Mr. Obama not be African-American, how could his ethnic composition be so Arabic?”
The definitive clue to that answer is to look at his name, his father’s name, and the names of all his ancestors on his father’s side. They are all Arabic.
Researching his roots reveal that on his father’s side, he is descended from Arab slave traders. They operated under an extended grant from Queen Victoria, who gave them the right to continue the slave trade in exchange for helping the British defeat the Madhi Army in southern Sudan and the Upper Nile region...”
Let’s just say that all the America-haters of the world love Obama. All the clowns who want to see America turned into a supine, groveling western version of neutered Euro states love Obama. Islamic terrorists love Obama because they see the defeat of Israel and growing numbers of terrorists taking over countries in the middle East and elsewhere.
"I was a little Jakarta street kid, he said in a wide-ranging interview in his office (excerpts are on my blog, www.nytimes.com/ontheground). He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics and more likely to be aware of their nationalism if he once studied the Koran with them.
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (itll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.
Since a sincere recitation of the shahada is by itself *all* that is required to be considered a Muslim, one would think this would certainly encourage other Muslims as to how receptive Mr. Obama might be to their worldview.
Mr. Kristof notes about Mr. Obama that "... a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics and more likely to be aware of their nationalism if he once studied the Koran with them."
Let’s see: I was baptised, went through about 10 years of ALC & LCA Lutheran Sunday School, a year of LCMS Parochial School, Luther League, an acolyte, in the choir, Catechism and Confirmation, all before the age of 15, but somehow I’m not a Christian?!
Who believes that?
Because they are his friends and he likes what they do.
You could stop right there. On another thread, it was pointed out that Obama refuses to make his birth record in Hawaii public. So, was he really born in Hawaii, or is that just his story? Was he born in the U.S.?
He also refuses to talk in detail about his conversion to Christianity or, more particularly, his baptism. Has he been baptized? Curiously, his church does not require it, and routinely admits Muslims as members.
So, I think we should ask to see some confirmation of his birth certificate and his baptismal certificate. The first is necessary if he is to satisfy the constitutional requirement for being president, and the second is necessary to back up his repeated statements that he is a member of a "Christian" church.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure that he has ever actually said that he is a Christian, only that he is a member of Rev. Wright's church. Which isn't saying anything, really.
Obama: "I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems, ....I will not weaponize space... I will slow development of future combat systems... I will institute a 'Defense Priorities Board' to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used ..."
Then, there will be peace in our time without the evil republicans causing war!
My change is good for Muslims, Islamofascists, Black Racists, and Chrislims. $crew the Christians and real Jews!
Thank you Fred.
