The result of the survey don't mesh with other polls showing a much lower level of support for assisted suicide. They probably just kept starting over until they got the results they were looking for.

Does this count as legally assisted suicide?

I would say so. With the boomer generation being so “peer pressure” oriented, the “you can’t be cool unless you’re hip and agree” tactic has shown itself a powerful propaganda tool that works.
Why should the left stop doing what gets them where they want to go? Until Americans smarten up, this will continue, sadly.
(public schools have shown themselves a great “pressure cooker” for forming more of the same mind set in mass numbers)

It looks like the Republican party believes in euthenasia also. I’m not going to assist it with a vote for McCain.

Not sure why suicide needs to be assisted - many people are capable of doing it well enough on their own....

Well, be prepared: if we get either socialized Obamacare or McCain's plan, you will see companies jump out of the health insurance business, followed by rationing under either plan that is going to make diseases such as AIDs, MS, and others impossible to get medicine for. Once rationing starts to take place, and they decide that they just can't cover "certain drugs," the lines for assisted suicide are going to get much longer.
No matter what a person's moral position, that's the fact: once rationing is in place, people with untreatable, painful conditions or progressive conditions that are denied meds are just going to opt out.

There's no way to tell if someone's being killed or are doing the terrible act of committing suicide. Hypoethetical conversation in Oregon.
"Hello, my name is Jacque and I will be assisting you in your suicide today." Patient-Victim, "Huh?" (could have been drugged for days and not even aware of what's taking place.)
It's going to be like going to a restaurant or a hair salon. Murder ain't a meal or a haircut. Suicide is self murder. Murder's murder.
