-Now that another Earth Day has come and gone, let's look at some environmentalist predictions that they would prefer we forget.
At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, "The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind." C.C. Wallen of the World Meteorological Organization said, "The cooling since 1940 has been large enough and consistent enough that it will not soon be reversed."
In 1968, Paul Ehrlich, Vice President Gore's hero and mentor, predicted there would be a major food shortage in the U.S. and "in the 1970s ... hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death." Ehrlich said 65 million Americans would die of starvation between 1980 and 1989, and by 1999 the U.S. population would have declined to 22.6 million. Ehrlich's predictions about England were gloomier: "If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000."

Yes but someone made lots of money.
Don’t knock Soylent Green.
It is a true warning of the world to come, if the “organic, locally sustainable, vegetarian” Greens get their way.
“I submit that the real idiots in this discussion are the millions of Americans Democrats that fall for this crap”
As well as every “Republican” who votes for John McCain who has bought it hood, line, and sinker.

Says who?
I remember back in the late sixties when Ehrlich made the rounds of all the talk shows in the wake of the popularity of his book. He had the look in his eyes of a fanatic...which of course he was. I wish I had the transcript of his interview on Carson's show. Carson was pretty much a skeptic of most of what the babbling classes spewed.
He is a Democrat.
He calls himself a Republican and has fooled a lot of people - including the once great Republican party, but he is definitely a Democrat.
He can run around and tell everyone he's an elephant - he even has the elephants believing him. But I see a Jackass that hee-haws and has no gravitas, trunk nor other components of an elephant.
“If we dont get rid of liberals, the world as we know it will cease to exist by 2050.”

The world as we know it ceased to exist in January of 1993, what we see around us now is an unknown world.
“If what I read was true it is another example of expertise in one field rendering one a total fool in another !”

You mean like the time I thought I could do brain surgery based on my experience filleting fish?
civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind, biologist George Wald, Harvard University, April 19, 1970.

Sounds about right to me, I don’t see a whole lot of “civilization” around me these days, just a lot of sacrificing to the elephant god.
elephant god should have been Jackass gods! What can I say, I am growing long of tooth and short of brain.
I can go to bed each night knowing that whatever he says WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
back to the top!! everyone should read this!
