Aw c'mon. Cut the Klan some slack. They weren't all bad. It's my understanding they served some pretty good barbecue at those Friday night Cross Burning meetings.

Maybe we can get Senator Byrd to confirm that?

(tongue firmly in cheek)

Again, any black person who actively supports the party of slavery, KKK etc has very poor judgement and this especially means Obama. The democrat party did not end this relationship with slavery and the KKK in 1865 or even by 1965. I remember the democrat party support for excluding black students from grade schools to universities and well remember that it was the party founded as the anti-slavery party, the republicans, who sent in federal troops to push the racist democrats aside and the GOP was the party that was responsible for passing the Civil Rights Act of 1965 when most democrats voted against it (including Gore’s father). They are the party of slavery and the KKK and Obama ignores that. Then again, his father’s family was part of the Luo tribe and they made their fortunes through the slave trade in Africa so his relationship to the democrat party just maintains his family traditions. Republicans should be pushing these facts in their faces at every turn, but then they seem to have become a party of spineless wimps who are headed for the same fate as the Whig party.

Our nation’s top historians reveal that ..
Why do we need "top historians" to reveal this? Should it not be common knowledge already? Or because it happened more than 10 minutes ago people just forget about it?
