You clearly don’t live in Mississippi. Nobody in the first district, I mean nobody, would characterize Davis as a rino. He is right there with Tancredo on immigration. Guess what? Nobody in MS has immigration at the top of their list. They a pissed at Republicans for the war and the economy. It is that simple. And if the first district in Mississippi is upset with republicans, LOOK OUT, INCOMING!

“You clearly don’t live in Mississippi.”

I don’t and would never live in Mississippi and I’m not saying he’s a RINO. I’m saying that because the RINO’s have taken over the party, the true conservatives are hurt. They are guilty by association just like Jehoshaphat with Ahab.

It’s like burning down your house because the roof leaks. The voters clearly have decided to vote for change, even if it means change for the worse.

You're making far too much sense to be posting here. Don't you know that whenever one of our guys loses it can't be because the voters rejected what he represented, it's because he was a RINO? RINO, RINO, RINO, that's the pat FR answer for when conservatives lose.

Well, wake up, people. We're losing these contests not because of RINO, but because people are pissed off about how they perceive things to be, and they express this by voting against anyone who lines up with who they think is "in power". It's stupid because the 'Rats are really the ones "in power". But they think right away of the President and using guilt-by-association the sheeple will vote against whomever they think is an ally of Bush. The 'Rats and the media have so inoculated the sheeple that the reflex action is to vote against whoever has the "R" after their name. For many in the elecorate, it's all about "change", never mind what that "change" might be. That's why an empty-suit Alinksy socialist like Obama is on the brink of being the nominee of a major political party. That couple with playing the race card as a shield against anyone daring to question what that "change" is may be enough to sweep him into office, along with maybe a 2:1 'Rat majority in the House and 60-40 in the Senate, essentially a blank check for the Fabian socialists that Obama personifies. Watch for it to happen, unless we in the opposition get our cats together and stop destroying ourselves, and recognize who the real threat is.

Immigration motivates people only when they see the politicians trying to legalize the illegals. Once the immediate threat has passed, the issue is dead.

Except that those who opposed the anti-illegal movement, they won’t forget, because they still want amnesty. People who get what they want are complacent, people who lose are energized.

Our illegal immigration stance isn’t going to save the party in November. It didn’t save us in 2006. Bush was wrong on the policy, but doing what was right hurts us in the elections.
