The Truth VS. Barack Obama [stunning list of Obama lies]
SavagePolitics ^ | May 1, 2008 | Shallow Hal

Posted on 05/14/2008 1:16:56 AM PDT by Enchante

CHARGE 41 - “I inspire people with my words.”

EVIDENCE - Obama inspires people with other people’s words. It’s called plagiarizing. SOURCE 1, SOURCE 2, SOURCE 3

COUNTER CLAIM - Lots of people borrow a few words from speeches. That’s not plagiarizing.

REBUTTAL – Plagiarism refers to another person’s intellectual creations being passed off as one’s own. Plagiarism is not nullified because the material was used with permission, which until caught by the media, Senator Obama did not have (permission) in regards to Deval Patrick’s speeches. Senator Obama uses his speeches, and their reactions, as evidence that he is connecting with his audience through his own power, and thus based on that power and it’s unique capacity to inspire citizens, we should elect him to office. Senator Obama has plagiarized speeches, songs, and entire passages of dialogue from film and television. Additionally, a large portion of Senator Obama’s speeches that were not plagiarized were written by his very young and White speech-writer Jon Favreau, NOT Senator Obama.

VERDICT – SENATOR OBAMA, YOU ARE A LIAR

It’s impossible to read this entire detailed list of Obama’s deceptions without being truly appalled at how the MSM has allowed him to be puffed up as the Liberal Messiah.

There has been no proper “due diligence” yet from the media, the Demagogues, or the public.

Let’s hope that in the next 5 months there will be enough opportunities to bring the “real Obama” into the spotlight of honest, probing criticism that has been thus far absent.

The Swiftboaters weren’t lying. One of the many great deceptions from the left is that somehow “Swiftboating” = “smearing by lies.”

Absolutely. If Swiftboating is smearing, it’s smearing with the Truth.

All that and no racist remarks. Of course we only get “racist” from the left.
Everything that Obama is, being black is the very least. Being black doesn’t even have to come into the equation.

Truthboating....let’s keep it going.

OH, I agree 1,000%!! "Swiftboating" IS "Truthboating" but the scum of the left and MSM smeared and smeared and they have managed (so far) to change the public discourse. At least Jon Cary is not our President. But we will have to work for years to correct the mis-information that the left puts out, that "Swiftboating" is anything other than presenting the honest facts about a POS liar like Jon Cary or Obama.

I have a problem with one of these points; namely the one that claims Obama is Arab African (charge #14). There is actually only one source given for this claim, and it is a blog article by one Kenneth E. Lamb, supposedly a journalist.

http://kennethelamb.blogspot.com/2008/02/barak-obama-questions-about-ethnic.html

Mr. Lamb claims that “everything in this article is documented, and I can get with your choice of researchers to have them document my documentation” - but he does not offer any documentation on this page whatsoever to substantiate his claims; no sources, no footnotes. When asked in a reader comment at the bottom to publish his sources he replies “We are working to prepare the information in a format that will not violate any contractual obligations about its use. I apologize for the delay, but given the gravity and volatility of the subject, I ask your indulgence under the circumstances.” This was almost three months ago now.

I just tried emailing him at the address he gives on that page, but it bounced back. Also, his eponymous website is taken down.

I would like this to be substantiated, but as the claim stands, I do not take it as truth. The common knowledge is that Obama Sr. was descendant from the Luo people of Kenya, which to my knowledge does not have any Arabian lineage. Everywhere on the Internet that this Arab claim can be found, it always points back to this one blog article. Who can shed some light on this?

I don’t know anything more about that - can anyone else shed any light? We need the criticism of Obama to be thoroughly accurate, because if there’s even one point that’s mistaken (1 of 67) then of course the MSM leftists use it to smear and discredit the entire enterprise.

Also, frankly, I really don’t care what anyone’s ethnic/racial heritage may be, except that if someone is lying about it for political advantage then of course that is relevant to judging their character. I have no idea what Obama’s precise ethnic/racial heritage may be but I do think a lot of the other points made on the list are significant.

The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]

(some key excerpts)

REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."

SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.

I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Jeremiah Wright’s Controversial AIDS Charge [KGB connection]
Accuracy In Media (AIM) ^ | April 28, 2008 | Cliff Kincaid

Asked during the question-and-answer period following his National Press Club speech on Monday [April 28, 2008] why he charged the U.S. Government with manufacturing the AIDS virus to kill black people, Barack Obama’s “former” pastor Jeremiah Wright cited a 1996 book by Leonard Horowitz, Emerging Viruses: AIDS and Ebola. This rang a bell. I had exchanged correspondences with Horowitz several years ago because I caught him promoting an old Soviet disinformation theme that has been disavowed by former Soviet and KGB officials. ...."

Bill Ayers, TODAY, April 6, 2008, from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and STILL calling for revolution! Yet Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh and nearly every other conservative commentator FAILS to mention that these people were and still are revolutionary communists. Instead, they describe them as simply "domestic terrorists". Seems nearly everyone these days is afraid to use the 'C' word! Even in this extremely rare case where one of them actually admits it.

Bill Ayers, April 6, 2008:
"Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must win.

We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

Source: http://billayers.wordpress.com/2008/04/page/2/

Note: Ayers is very likely quoting Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, with the phrase 'both possible and necessary' in regards to a communist overthrow of the US government. See these Yahoo search results for "bob avakian" + "possible and necessary"--Eye On The Left

"In July 1969, Bernardine Dohrn [Ayers' co-terrorist wife], Eleanor Raskin, Dianne Donghi, Peter Clapp, David Millstone and Diana Oughton, all representing 'Weatherman', as Dohrn's faction was now called, traveled to Cuba and met with representatives of the North Vietnamese and Cuban governments."

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"FBI files from 1976, recently made public under the Freedom of Information Act, confirm the connections between Weatherman, Havana, and Moscow. Weatherman leaders like Mark Rudd traveled illegally to Havana in 1968 to engage in terrorist training. There, camps set up by Soviet KGB Colonel Vadim Kotchergine were educating Westerners both in Marxist philosophy and urban warfare."

Obama Pledges Cuts in Missile Defense, Space, and Nuclear Weapons Programs

February 29, 2008 :: News
MissileThreat.com

A video has surfaced of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama talking on his plans for strategic issues such as nuclear weapons and missile defense.

The full text from the video, as released, reads as follows:

Thanks so much for the Caucus4Priorities, for the great work you've been doing. As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus4Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington.

First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.[i.e. not win it]

Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.

I will not weaponize space.

I will slow our development of future combat systems.

And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.

Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.

You know where I stand. I've fought for open, ethical and accountable government my entire public life. I don't switch positions or make promises that can't be kept. I don't posture on defense policy and I don't take money from federal lobbyists for powerful defense contractors. As president, my sole priority for defense spending will be protecting the American people. Thanks so much.

Obama Promises to Dismantle Our Armed Forces
by Robert Maginnis
Posted 04/10/2008 ET

(Mr. Maginnis is a retired Army lieutenant colonel, a national security and foreign affairs analyst for radio and television and a senior strategist with the U.S. Army)

YouTube has an undated 52-second clip of Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barrack Obama outlining his plans for America’s national defense. Obama’s presentation demonstrates either total naivete about important national security programs or he is just pandering for votes among the extreme left.
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?print=yes&id=25942

Note: Although I sent Human Events the ORIGINAL youtube video several weeks ago (original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o84PE871BE ) and asked that they replace the copy they refer to (copy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl32Y7wDVDs ), they still have not yet done so. The original comes directly from the Obama camp itself and so is a lot more credible. In any case, Col Maginnis does an excellent in-depth must read analysis of Obama's proposed defense policies (see: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?print=yes&id=25942).

I agree - I'd like to see this point about whether or not Obama has misrepresented his heritage left aside because there are so many more substantive issues about his politics that must be addressed. I don't know that anyone is really going to settle the issue of whether Obama has been honest and accurate about his heritage, but there are so many more important issues, as illustrated by your post. Thank you!

Well, the point you made is good. If he’s caught lying about his heritage, that might hurt him a lot with black and other voters.

His ethnical heritage in itself might be of lesser interest, if he is truthful about it. But if indeed he would contrary to his claims be a descendant of Arab African slave traders, and by official standards not even African enough to be classified as African American, then yes, that would hurt his credibility - and effectively pull the rug out from under this “First African American President” business and his black support.

But as long as this whole thing is just an unsubstantiated claim by one lone journalist, it’s going nowhere. So it will either have to be backed up with hard evidence, or promptly discarded.
