VATICAN CITY (AP) - The Vatican's chief astronomer says that believing in aliens does not contradict faith in God. The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, says that the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones.
In an interview published Tuesday by Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Funes says that such a notion "doesn't contradict our faith" because aliens would still be God's creatures.
The interview was headlined "The extraterrestrial is my brother." Funes said that ruling out the existence of aliens would be like "putting limits" on God's creative freedom.
The only explanations for Elizabeth Kucinich to fall for Dennis—and she fell in love on first sight—is A) She’s alien, and thus it’s ok to believe in her, or B) Stepford wife, alien technology.
Is it acceptable to believe that Juno, Io, Europa and Ganymede orbit Jupiter and not Earth?
Actually it talks about a whole lot more than that.
The Bible is a whole worldview.
Limiting it to “relationships” is reductionist.
“Pope Art Bell XVI ?”
Priceless. He, like George, never met a lunatic he didn’t believe. LOL.
All I know is my ex-mother-in-law was from another world.
Gen 6:1-2 - “When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God (bene elohim) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.”
Matt 24:37 - “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”
Rev 12:7-9 - “And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled downthat ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”
I love how Art Bell has that condescendingly "sure I believe you" voice whenever he has a whacko on (which was most every night). George, I think, really actually believes these people, while Art does not (I hope).
Will the Queen of Heaven (Mary) return to Rome in a UFO?
“George, I think, really actually believes these people.”
I agree. Hpw many times have you heard him say “Reeeaaalllyyy???” to some of those crazies?
LOL!!! Well....yeah....
But, will there be a Mass for aliens and, if so, in what language?
Thanks much.
I’m still very unsure what, if anything, I’m allowed to post on such threads . . .
I do know that this admission by the Vatican is the very tiniest tip of the iceberg of the Vatican’s involvement in the field of UFO’s/ET’s.
There’s tons about their involvement that this latest news doesn’t even hint at.
None of the better known races of ET’s . . . most would say none of those we know anything about . . .
are really good.
They all lie.
They all or virtually all abuse humans wholesale.
Some of them, at least, murder humans in the same manner cows are mutilated—without anesthetic . . .
and reportedly use the body parts for sustenence . . . food.
Your second graphic relates to believing how???
BEING SET-UP for the introductions of ET influences?
= = =
Certainly. Of course we are.
I think only those with their heads in the sand and their brains turned off could fail to notice that.
The last 12 months has not exactly been a full court press but it has certainly been an escalation of information release—both official and unofficial.
Most of the official has been over seas—Britain, France, Brazil etc.
However, at the UFO conferences, the quality of information, research, analysis has taken a big leap from last year.
Dave, please ping the list. I don’t have it with me here in AZ.
Then, of course, there’s been the behavior of the craft . . . evidently more demonstrative, brazen etc. than a year or two ago.
OK, flame away. It’s the season and I’m already a crispy critter so more flames won’t matter much.
Some personage pretending to be her and filling that role convincingly is not at all far fetched given . . . various facts.
I think I mostly agree with you.
For an institution (the RCC) that puts their church traditions on a par with the Bible, and interprets the Genesis creation account mystically, what would you expect. The Bible says mankind is made in the image of God. Thats good enough for us Biblicists, but not for the RCC, however.
If we believe that we are made in God’s image, then wouldn’t aliens that don’t look like us defeat that belief? Or are we to assume that they were made in God’s imagination?
O.P.I. pings....
