We stand warned by serious and credible scientists across the world that time is short and the dangers are great," the Arizona Republican said in a speech delivered at a wind-energy facility..

He's a cap-n-trader to boot.. ready to move us into the post-carbon age..

Such a system would "change the dynamic of our energy economy" by giving companies incentives to invest in alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, nuclear, clean coal, biomass and biofuels, McCain said, providing the United States with an energy supply "that is safe, secure, diverse and domestic."

Is he one of Moonbeam's love children or one of Timothy Leary's?

Rush is lamenting having a Liberal Democrat as the GoP nominee after responding to McCain and his environmental propensities and speech.

Folks, this guy is so Third Way, ie:, it hurts, he and many others today are seeking to blend corporate and gubamint together and running a Third Way movement to screw the globe up even more and make a lot of dough doing it..

In other words, he is a Progre$$ive , a liberal, a TWirP. The GoP is full of them these days.

McCain is a total POS. One of the things Bush did right is to reject this silly fraud.

I've said it before and I will say it again now. McCain is 1.)either so stupid he actually thinks the conservative base will vote for him no matter what he says and does or, 2.)He is actually trying to lost this election because he is bitter about 2000.

Either way he is a total idiot.

Is there any way we can possibly clone another Ronald Reagan between now and the election?

I hope he's pandering, because if he's serious we all better consider moving out of the country.

McCains speech was a joke. After hearing it, I could swear he makes George W Bush sound like a great orator.

With each passing day McCain looks more and more like a big loser.

This is why I give up. I can’t bring myself to vote for any of these fools. The people in America are not interested in some hyperbole green energy plan when they’re paying $4 a gallon. People in America want the cure now and the only cure within a couple years is expanded drilling and refining capacity.

McCain's energy policy includes "CAP AND TRADE" (a windfall for government jobs and lawyers) and NOT drilling ANWR!!

And the GOP expects conservatives are to rally behind him? Amazing.

The science is settled, and we have reached a consensus: John McCain is an idiot.

Anyone who disagrees is a denier.

This is the guy that Republicans keep telling me I have to “do my duty” and vote for.

It was 40 degrees here in Ohio this morning. No, that’s not Celsius.

Well, I wasn’t going to vote for him anyway.

The country is not going to be saved, it’s a slow-motion train wreck. Most people don’t care what happens to this country anyway. It’s time to disengage.

I have no idea why McCain is flogging this. The science is not proven. The effect of such market meddling on actual carbon output is likely to be minimal and could have a number of unintended consequences besides the negative economic consequences (which will be bad and could be disastrous). He will not peel off Obama supporters by joining the global warming cultists.

Not enough to make me sit out the election and watch Obama take the White House unopposed, but enough to make me hold my nose while I vote for McCain.

When one speaks in Portland, Oregon and expects to draw an approving crowd, one addresses anything that appeals to the far left wing whackos who reside there. McCain probably picked up a few, but lost heavily to the minority - traditional conservatives - big time!

I simply can not vote for this person. I despise him more than I ever thought possible, and really don’t know what I’m going to do come November.

OK, I agree with most of you. McCain is a real jerk on this issue-a REAL JERK. When I first read this I almost could not contain my anger.

However Obama is a JERK on EVERY issue. There is nothing Obama is right about. He is as wrong as wrong can be.
Yes we must hold our noses and vote for McCain. It will be four years of gridlock and struggle but we will survive.

McCain does strongly support Nuclear Power and this is something we really need even if this climate issue were not out there.
McCain is pretty good on national security. This might be the most important issue.
McCain will nominate judges like Roberts and Alito to the Supreme Court. This is huge. This also means he will support conservative judges for other Federal Posts. Can you even begin to imagine what kind of judges Obama will appoint? Think Ginsburg! Think Breyer.

Yes this is a painful time for conservatives but we cannot allow Obama to be elected. We can survive McCain but we cannot survive Obama.

While I still grind my teeth at McCain’s support of fighting global warming, his support for nuclear energy allows me to grudgingly tolerate him. And so far, he hasn’t talked about shredding our national soveriegnty by signing the Kyoto Treaty.
