WASHINGTON - The Senate has rejected a Republican energy plan that calls for opening an Alaska wildlife refuge and some offshore waters to oil development. Supporters of the measure couldn't get the needed 60 votes to overcome a Democratic-led filibuster threat.
Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said more domestic oil production is needed to keep prices in check and to reduce U.S. dependence on oil imports.
Opponents said areas such as the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and coastal waters that have been off limits to drilling for 25 years ought to remain that out of bounds to oil companies. The GOP measure, defeated Tuesday by a vote of 56-42, would have allowed coastal states to get a waiver to the offshore drilling ban.

China. While the GOP leadership blindly encourages the hyper-industrialization of China at the expense of our national security and industrial base with ignorant tax and trade policy, we propose to treat China as they treat us as adversaries. China has aligned itself with every unsavory regime across the globe, has peddled weapons to most, and has extremely aggressive military and corporate espionage programs. It is time to call out their malfeasance and well past time to stop relying on this communist country for Treasury bill purchases to keep our system afloat. It is beyond dangerous, and must end.
Never going to happen! American businesses gets most of the toys, shoes, computers, ectronics from China. Do you know what'll happen if you banned items from China? We'd have inflation that would beworse then Carter's day.
Nothing about TRADE? What is the FALCON platform on FREE TRADE?

The trouble with third parties in this day & age is that they won't be in debates -- I would love to see all the CANDIDATES in at least one debate.
The DBM wants SOCIALISTS (fka Dems) and Democrats (FKA RINOs) in the DEBATES.

I guess the way to lower the price of oranges is to make the growers stop planting orange trees and tax them more for the oranges that they grow.

We must remain an industrial and manufacturing power, for our long term economic and military superpower status depend upon it. Therefore, tax incentives designed to keep industrial and high tech manufacturing and R&D on our shores are imperative. We propose to eliminate all taxes on manufacturers that produce the majority of their products in US based factories.
Right on!! I would love to see if you have a chapter in Florida yet!
Our position is that global warming, what little actually is detected, is part of the natural planetary cycle that has been repeated many times over throughout earths existence. The alarmists such as Al Gore and the people that support the theory of human causation are doing so primarily for a political agenda. We intend to fight these charlatans and remind them that their theory is no more valid than when they were espousing catastrophic global cooling a few short years ago.
Greenland is GREEN when the VIKINGS named it. LABRADOR was warmer when the Vikings settled it. the WARM UP after the ice age didn't happen when thge CAVEMEN were our driving SUVS around. :-) (And no GEICO comments!! :-)) Our position on Iraq is in total support of President Bushs decision to remove Saddam Hussein and his terror enabling Baathist regime from power. Despite some serious missteps along the way, it appears that Iraq indeed has a much brighter future as an US ally in the region than it did having sons Uday and Qusay running the failed state for the next 40 years. We support General Petraeus and his mission and will work to see it through until total victory is achieved.
A third party that is with me on IRAQ.
So far so good, but 2 more questions: 1) individual liberty (gay rights, youth issues) and 2) what about the UN (the USELESS NATIONS)?

Email ajmadison (his email is on the website) if you want the official position on the UN and gay rights. But my take, since I am involved with this operation is that the UN is worthless, and it’s powers and responsibilities and budgets should be slashed, perhaps save for some humanitarian tasks it performs reasonably well.
BTW, I do believe a 2nd page of platform is going to be added to deal with a handful of other topics. The UN is a good one to add.

Those who voted nay want to keep us dependent on foreign oil. The nays include Republican Mel Martinez (FL), both “Republican” senators from Maine, and other fools.

My Wonderful senator - Mr. Martinez had my vote when he ran, but he doesnt want to have oil drilling off FLORIDA because it would hurt tourism, but you wont see the rigs on the beaches of FL - and besides, TOURISM will be hurting if people cant afford to visit - or have no gas to get here.
I voted for McCollum in that Senate race primary. Nice to know I'm still right.

No it wasn't. They named it Greenland as a red herring to keep potential invaders out; would you rather invade a place named Greenland or Iceland? Most invaders chose Greenland and got duped as a result.

LOL....maybe a Libertarian shortcut ticket
However, at this point in the game I think Pat Paulson (God rest his soul) would be an excellent candidate!
