To be honest, I’ve never heard of anyone releasing their birth certificate. Has any candidate for any office ever done that? That’s like releasing their social security number.

Not sure.
Apparently there was pressure for McCain to release his since he was born outside of the US. And then Obama.
But I zero idea to what extent any of this is true.

Ive never heard of anyone releasing their birth certificate. Has any candidate for any office ever done that? I don't know the procedures, but to be President it's a requirement to be 35 years old and a native born American.
A birth certificate is about the only way to document both.

Birth Certificates are just basic stuff, the most important part being the newborn's full name. Now why wouldn't he release his if there are no inconsistencies there???

Thats like releasing their social security number. Not really. There's not much you can do with an uncertified copy of a birth certificate, there's plenty you can do with just SS number.
