Some peoples free speech is more free than others.
And this is outrageous because the laws are mixed regarding whether homosexuality is a civil rights issue. I hear the gay activists say that we need federal civil rights legislation in this area because the laws are muddled and unclear.
So, if the laws as of now aren’t clear cut, she has every right to say it’s questionable regarding civil rights protections for homosexuality. I know that is a politically INCORRECT point of view.
Or, then I wonder, why are the gay activists pushing so hard for civil rights legislation if it’s already a settled matter in the law???????
It sure sounds like she was fired for violating political correctness.
Given that they were going to censor her, this is the best of all possible next steps.
If she sues, the college is going to pay and pay, as they should. Anything short of 8 figures is way too small.
If she doesn’t sue, she deserves what she got.
Wow, compare that with Ward Churchill. Some oxes(sic) are clearly superior.
Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexuals had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.

Free speech for me but not for thee.
The Toledo Free Press is not an entity of the University, right? And this woman was not officially representing the University in her commentary, correct? So a private citizen is not allowed to have an unpopular opinion on a controversial subject??? Freedom of speech? Freedom of thought?
Is the University of Toledo a private school? If so, they should be able to fire anyone for whatever reason they want, right? If it’s a state school, that’s different.
