I have to wonder...where is that money coming from?

As a politician as long as he has been one, I would have to assume that he totes a bit of arm twisting power to get donations from some very rich and prominent people outside of the beltway.

McCain can run with obama for all I care. Obama can let the islam terrorists thru the front door to blow up the country, while McCain can let the UN communists in thru the backdoor to destroy the economy.

I can’t believe we’re stuck with this stupid man.

Is there a way that we can have him declared incompetent to even run for president?

Yes.

By ground that he has promoted democrat directives in the past.

After all, when was the last time we had a competent democrat POTUS? ; )

I swear, I'm astonished at the personal struggle I've had this year, resigning/resolving/cajoling myself to vote for this loser, and each time I'm just about there he does something to royally tick me off.

Since FT dropped out, I have recouped via saving.

Since the RNC has shown no conservative directive, they have been put on hold for a much longer time.

I'm greedy and proud of it!

I spend my money on personal return, not just to feel good about giving.

McCain will be a disaster for the Republican Party in November 2008. He is better off running as a Democrat and Newt (Mr. Global Warming) can run with him.

A Marxist, a Stalinist and Mccain the Democrat.

Think SCOTUS constructionist nominations, national security and defense, and limiting government spending.

Limiting government spending?????

You must have missed his speech in Oregon.

Promoting EVERYTHING that he stated will increase energy costs, drive down the market, force compliance and dependence on government on a massive scale.

The sad part of it is we don't have an energy issue, we have a political issue which has created an energy problem.

Nothing wrong with that. For example, I may take the money I might have given to a conservative presidential candidate and instead send it to Citizens For Limited Taxation, a Massachusetts advocacy group helping to get a question on this November's ballot --- to abolish the state income tax!

A few years back the same question lost but by less than 5%...this time I think there will be a different outcome.

Whom do you suppose will be paying for the health care Juan's beloved additional 30-to-40 million additionl illegals are (inevitably) going to need?

Where do you suppose that money will, logically, be coming from?

shifting the base of ALL politics to the left forever just to get along

That will be an effect, but it won't just be McCain's doing, everyone in the GOP who forgot their conservative values will bear responsibility for it. Also, while we go back into the wilderness, I wouldn't say "forever". I still believe that conservative principles prevail. While the nation and party try to have their cake and eat it too, it will not be sustainable and will bite us. OTOH, if we continue to tread down that road, regardless, we get what we deserve (let's face it, we the people vote them in).

That's a commendable way to contribute and something that you could actually see some positive financial return from.

Personally, living in Minnesota personal freedom and taxation via wasteful spending isn't an issue for me./

It took Greenland 18,000 years to accumulate as much ice as it has now. How long do you think it will take it to melt?

According to the GW kooks, a few months.

According to the GW kooks, a few months.

4 inches of snow in Ely, MN this weekend...IN MAY!

Not to worry the GW kooks will find a way to blame it on humans inhabiting the planet.

After all, wasn't the plan for creation drawn up in Washington, D.C.?

First it was all the droughts, then all the flooding, then the wild fires, next will be some other event which proves global warming.

You are, as usual, a dishonest moron. I’m not happy about McCain as the nominee, but you are a vicious hack, incapable of an honest assessment of anything to do with him....... yet my current consolation is that you and your fellow Demagogue racists of the left are nominating a guy based upon his skin color, without regard to his egregious lack of competence, honesty, or qualifications..... a guy who could easily prove to be the worst presidential candidate since McGovern. Just so long as Obama does not actually manage to “fool most of the people most of the time” in the next 6 months I expect to enjoy this campaign as he gets exposed for the hard-left anti-American lightweight we all know him to be. OTOH, if Obama and his harridan do actually make it into the WH somehow, then I might actually move to ...... France!

Um...hmmm...What about...No, wait now...I'll think of one!

How about Woodrow Wilson?

Nah, I won't even go there.

I know, FDR!

Nah, he created Social Security.

Oh, I've got it!

Harry Truman!

Nah, the dem's are frustrated and don't like him because he went nuclear.

JFK?

Yeah, that's the ticket "ashk not....", the Bay of Pig's, ect.

Nah, asking what the country can do for you sounds pretty d@mn socialistic and the Bay of Pigs debacle, well kinda' embarrassing.

Jimma' Carter, great at peace talks. Yeah, Jimma' Carter!

Nah, we live too fast we don't want to sit in a gas line for 2 hours to fill up anymore.

Bill Clinton, mmmmm, Bill Clinton well at least he was an honest POTUS and maintained his libido, but nah, the Republicans were strong then and made him look bad just because he was a Dimocrat.

Have I jogged your memory? ; )

You forgot this is the guy who hired a Myanmar lobbyist as one of his chief advisors? Your forgot this is the guy who can't tell the difference between the Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq? You forgot that McCain is running for GWB's third term? You forgot about McCain's membership in the Keating Five? I always expected more stupid than dumb from McCain. The talk about a maverick who consistently bucked the establishment was pure media hype with little substance.

For a hopeless lib, you make some good points (some, not all). I especially agree that the maverick label is made up. McCain is just an idiot, doesn't know left from right, and when he randomly lands on the media's side, they love him for it.

Our best hope is in getting a stronger conservative caucus in Congress, but there’s little prospect of that either. The axis of depravity between the Demagogues, MSM and RINOs is running strong and the left-liberal coalition will probably end up at least a bit stronger (in Congress) after November. The one remaining hope is that the Demagogues tear each other apart over all the rival factions that they have trouble containing. Perhaps a weakened McCain administration with an immobile Congress is the goal, ‘cause an Obama administration with a strongly liberal Congress would be the worst nightmare of all.
