Made in America
(by illegal aliens)
Oh fer cryin’ out loud.
Been to many textile mills lately?
I have, and it ain’t a pretty site.
Allison hade a fine piece this morning on Fox and Friends on a SC made product...... a super SUV made by BMW and shown being put through its paces on their South Carolina test track adjacent to their factory.
It is a 4wd sports car that hangs on the road at very fast speeds like it was on rails.
Clearly, we should offshore our textile production to solve the illegal immigration problem. /sarc
The SC textile mills were opened at the expense of jobs and workers in Massachuttes and other New England states. The jobs left when the workers became uncompetative.
The SC mill workers became uncompetative and the mills moved on again.
And, the ones that didn’t move on began to hire illegal labor.
Now, those mills are being sued by their former employees.
Same thing for poultry plants.
Those jobs would never move off-shore because nobody is going to import chicken from China, but there ya go. Illegal labor in the thousands.
BMW X-6.
Very cool.
And that was a sexy little outfit she had on this AM.
Michelin Tires
I was at Sam’s club getting Michelin tires on my Jeep.
Looking through the racks it appeared that most of the Michelins were from the USA and most of the Goodyears were from Canada.
You pay a premium for either one versus Hankook and Kumho from Korea and China. Probably worth it, but those brands (surprisingly to me) have a lot of good customer reviews on sites like tirerack.
No, we should seal the border.
You are an insult to every hard working South Carolinian, and American for that matter.
Anyone who is unable to adapt to a changing and competitive world and job market is destined to be left in the dust of those who will, and that’s got nothing to do with illegals.
BMW is going to be expanding here, and that will bring lots of new jobs, plus the hundreds of other jobs associated with the additional BMW jobs.
The Upstate is growing like crazy.
