Hmmm. I like the Libertarian party for almost everything and especially government finance and personal freedom, but the loosey-goosey attitude on National Defense may be a dealbreaker for me. For example — Ron Paul may be right about it being a mistake to go into Iraq in the first place, but now that we’re there we need to make sure the job is finished, and here’s where the Libertarian party wants to cut losses and bail.

That said, a protest vote against Juan McCain is sooooo tempting. He so obviously hates core conservatives, and if he’s tweaking us now with kissy face on La Raza and global warming (when he wants as many votes as possible), what’s he gonna do when he’s in power? Man, I hate this election year.

The war in Iraq is won and over, the question is how long are we going to stay and nation build. What really is at issue is if we should be policing the word with troops in over 100+ countries, providing for the defenses of other countries. It is not good policy and this is Ron Paul’s position.
