As the son of the Muslim father, Senator Obama was born a Muslim under Muslim law as it is universally understood. It makes no difference that, as Senator Obama has written, his father said he renounced his religion. Likewise, under Muslim law based on the Koran his mothers Christian background is irrelevant.
Of course, as most Americans understand it, Senator Obama is not a Muslim. He chose to become a Christian, and indeed has written convincingly to explain how he arrived at his choice and how important his Christian faith is to him.
His conversion, however, was a crime in Muslim eyes; it is irtidad or ridda, usually translated from the Arabic as apostasy, but with connotations of rebellion and treason. Indeed, it is the worst of all crimes that a Muslim can commit, worse than murder (which the victims family may choose to forgive).

I read that a poll taken indicated that the ONE thing that would discourage Mr. and Mrs. America from voting for Obama is raising doubt about whether Obama is a Muslim or not.
Yet, even the most passionate Obama haters seem to be discounting this as an effective tool.
I think the original letter sent out about Obama being a Muslim had a lot to do with this. For one, it made the mistake of stating that Obama was sworn in on the Koran.
The Obama camp seized on this error and suceeded in beating this charge down.
Yet most of us think it is true that he is a Muslim.
How can we launch a successful fresh charge that he is, indeed a Muslim?
In Islam it is permitted to LIE.
Barak Husein is LYING...
He IS a Muslim.
His IS a sleeper.
That says it all. How in the name of God did this country get to this point!
How do you know Obama donated money to CAIR?
Links?
I can use this is my war on Obama.
It has been in the news. He had to report such things on his tax returns.
I believe when he had to return money donated to his campaign by Rezco, he donated it to various charities. Included were the Trinity church ($25,000 as I recall), and CAIR ($10,000 I think).
These were legit news stories. not internet hoax stuff. The appropriate articles can be found here on FR or by Google search.
I’ve been thinking about this ever since I read about Barack’s religious background on his father’s side. He is an apostate, at least under Islamic tradition. I have this creepy vision of President Obama greeting the ruler of the Saudis and suddenly seeing the ruler take out a knife and gut the man. Of course, the ruler would also be killed - assuming it’s not a private meeting. Alternately, a single Moslem with gumption might get to him. In any case, this is a real problem.
Sleeper as : OBAMA The Manchurian Candidate
YOU are 100% correct.
His chosen words...
His no pledge for the flag...
HE is sending the signals, we who are ignorant of the way, to those he knows will see and understand.
His language is all finesse.
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (itll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset. Moreover, Mr. Obamas own grandfather in Kenya was a Muslim.
I can all too easily imagine a massive attack on Americans within US borders, probably on multiple “soft” targets (ie, civilians: Malls, schools, etc)probably simultaneous , coordinated attacks a la Beslan. (But the smuggled nuke scenraio and the destruction of a US city is all too plausible, too.) And if it happens, the last thing we need is someone in power whose first impulse is to want to “talk” to terrorists “unconditionally”, and to look for motives in moslem behavior in American actions, rather than in the satanic koran and sharia law. I don’t think BHO is a moslem-his comments on clinging to religion out of economic bitterness is pure Atheism 101-but I believe he has a rosey view of islam because of his romanticized views on his father, AND the typical liberal belief that nonwestern peoples and cultures are inherently noble. I do not trust him, and I fear for the future of this country if he’s elected.
Luttwak worked for Reagannot that he's trustworthy. He's a strategy wonk who escaped the Nazis and Stalin with his parents. He was key in helping bring down the Soviet Union. Then again, he's eccentric. He thinks modern war should be fought with Sun-Tzu in one hand and a gun in the other (in which I concur), but he's ambivalent about capitalism (which is like being against gravity). He's way too cranky to dream of becoming a Hill-bot. But that doesn't make his predictions sound.
Realpolitik would seem to dictate that if Barry H. is the clueless defeatist he seems, the Moslems will find a reason to excuse his apostasy and help him somehow. But jihad clerics don't really do logic. They could go nuts over the religion of Barry's father as easily as running amok over a cartoon.
But I think the reason Obama would be a strategic disaster in the Middle East has less to do with the letter of the Koran and more to do with Moslems. Clerics are at the mercy of crowds of unlettered lunatics who might follow rival clerics. Their supreme god seems to be fear. This gives them reflexive contempt for weaknesssuch as ex-President Carter's. My guess is that they would flee any association with a weak POTUS such as Obama and step up their attacks against every conceivable American and Christian interest.
According to some sources, he was baptized, and apparently at Wright's church. I don't know if Wright baptized him, but there should be some record of Obama's baptism if it actually happened.
Obama has a problem talking about this. If he admits he was baptized as an adult, people from some denominations will ask why wasn't he baptized as a child, and then he'd have to get into all this.
Also, to say "Wright baptized my kids" is one thing and wins Obama sympathy from some people for his hesitation in condemning Wright. To say, "Wright baptized me," would make the relationship way too close.
Edward N. Luttwak was a neoconservative back when it meant something -- back in the Reagan years when it meant standing up to the Soviets.
He got disillusioned with second-generation neoconservatism and with just about everything else in the last decade or so.
Luttwak was a friendlier to Bill Clinton than Podhoretz was, but I don't think he's looking for a job with Hillary (he's over retirement age as it is), just looking to stir things up.
