The reason John McCain turned green is because he met a little boy in a penguin suit who spoke to him about global warming.
This came out while she had a guest on her show named Kris, and he also said that a paper recently compared McCain's energy policy to Obama's and McCain's is 99% of Obama's so the paper of course endorsed Obama's plan.
Our man is really a complete idiot.
I have five friends who have adopted outside the US, three who have adopted here, and one who has tried twice, unsuccessfully, to adopt here. I am also an adopted child myself.
The problem with adoption in America is open adoption laws brought to us by liberals, of course. They effectively turn adoptive parents into legal babysitters, who pay the bills and do the hard work while the mother can demand pictures, visitation, etc. and otherwise get in the way of the bonding that needs to occur between parents and their children. Would you adopt a child if your privacy were going to be forever lost, and the emotional well-being of your child and indeed, your entire family, depended on the day-to-day whims of a 16-year old girl?
Couple that with the fact that usually you must bring the child into your home before the adoption is final and risk losing the child if that immature 16-year-old girl finds she can’t go through with it after all. Or, with modern DNA, a man could find out years after placement that he is the biological father and claim the child. I’ve seen all these scenarios in action, and witnessed the heartbreak.
Overseas adoption is anonymous, and parental rights have already been terminated. No one is going to demand pictures, visitation, or make a claim to parentage years after the adoption of a foreign child.
There are plenty of children in America who desperately need homes, but the system is stacked against those who want to provide those homes. Until that changes, I can completely understand those who adopt overseas. I would do the same to ensure the sanity and integrity of my family.
There are two ways to look at this. I have no doubt this is a blessing to the little girl. I am addressing the bigger picture.

"It was a real penquin I tell you...and penquins are smart little critters. "
But then we knew that.
OMG!! You mean you two aren't going to vote for him? The HORROR!

Just sad.
That is an absolutely unjust thing to say. Laura was in love and engaged to be married several years ago. When she discovered she had breast cancer, her husband-to-be dumped her. Now she is recovered, but she's also 44 and is too old to find a husband and have a biological child before menopause. So she has decided to give a loving home to a child who would otherwise go through life without it.
If she talks about her daughter incessantly, that's because mothers tend to do that when they're full of love, joy, and excitement. Is it really your contention that it would be morally preferable for Laura to let a lonely child to grow up alone and unloved?
I disagree for the reasons I gave.

Excuse me. I meant see my post #62.
Sad, and criminal, if you ask me. DNA, not the well being of the child, is almost always the deciding factor in American adoption law. As one of my friends who adopted a baby girl from China a few years back said, “It’s worth every penny of the [well into five figures] we spent knowing that nobody can show up years from now and take her away from us.”
Put that same guarantee into American law and the adoptive parents will be lining up.
I met a girl in a bunny suit. It didn’t make me green. It was completely different.
Sad.
INGRAHAM is how you spell it.
Nice job of hijacking a thread.
But that doesn't make it true despite what they said. In the case of McCain I guess I'd like to see the direct quote if there is one and hear his explanation.
Ask him in your next campaign planning meeting then.
Kidding. I'm kidding.
Urge to vote....fading....
Did it make you blue?
Sad fake.

McCain will also pledge to play a lead role in negotiations for an agreement to come into force after the Kyoto Protocol on emissions cuts, which the United States refused to ratify, expires in 2012.
“I will not accept the same dead-end of failed diplomacy that claimed Kyoto,” McCain was to say.
“The United States will lead and will lead with a different approach — an approach that speaks to the interests and obligations of every nation.”
McCain will not be out-Greened
