I, for one, do consider it far beneath me to “reach out” (read: pander) to racists. Senator McCain should, too. It is also insulting to say that this pandering needs to take place for us to get the Hispanic vote. La Raza is a racist hate group whose main objective is placing a large section of sovereign United States territory under Mexican jurisdiction. They are an enemy entity and should be treated as such.
