John McCain, a Not So Favorable Retrospective (Heavy Graphics)
My own thoughts... | DoughtyOne

John McCain's Road the the White House

In his natural habitat...
Liberalism's Heritage Preserve.
*

John's ten Maverick years.

Has anyone forgotten them?
*

The Republican Primaries 2008.
*

Cabin boy McQueeg to lead...
Conservatism's darkest hour.
*

Oh my God, I did that?
Anyone got a barf bag?

Pale white, this year's new green.
*

Just so you know, John is willing to sacrifice himself...
for the good of the nation.
*

In answer to your question John, zero votes.  Nice try though.

Springtime in D.C.

Just reaching out...

Just reaching out...

Just reaching out...

Just reaching out...

Just reaching out, the Keating 5 fiasco...

Always in good company, John McCain with Demcrats or die hard liberals... it's been the pattern.

Well, no full accounting for our men MIA, but least we have normalized relations with Vietnam...
*        *

July 11, 1995, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., (right), and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., (center),
gave President Bill Clinton, (left), the valuable political cover he needed to remove the U.S.
imposed trade embargo against communist Vietnam.  All major U.S. veterans organizations,
the two POW/MIA family groups, and the majority of Vietnamese Americans in this country
opposed Clinton's lifting of the embargo.

Didn't their service, POW status, torture and devotion to duty deserve as much respect as John's?  Evidently not.

We still don't have a full accounting for men a number of whom were seen alive by other POWs after shoot down or incarceration.

They found out about George Soros' funding

More of John's actions of behalf of...
his constituents?

Still more of John's Peeps...

Cosponser of McCain/Kennedy
helps set up roadblock...
to Conservatism.

Eh, John, they'll never see it comin',
I tell ya.  Yeah Ted, look at those
xenophobes.  Screw them!

Yeah John, we've got your number

The Humane Society was not present

and we cant' vouch for the safety of the cat.

Point / Counterpoint
*

Looks like some are going to buy off on the
Clinton/Obama scare tactics Mini-Me, er...
Mavrick.

Right John, some ideas just stink?
*

But we didn't want Clinton or Obama to destroy the nation...
How were we supposed to know?

You could have listened! *

It isn't the first time we were wrong,
but I never thought they could put
that much lipstick on this guy.

A new reality TV series coming to your home this fall. *

When Johnny's Conservative vote comes marching home.

No matter how you dress it...
it's still not going to appeal to Conservatives.

That may be true. What I think is that all three sell Hispanics short. Where they like to label us Xenophobes for demanding the rule of law be applied, they aren’t bashful at all about labeling the Hispanics completely unable to understand the rule of law, and vote for sound principles in deference to the efforts of these people and La Raza to race bait on their behalf.

And John McCain cannot compete with that. Not to mention that he doesn’t have alot of support with conservatives.

It looks like a lot conservatives are wimpy self-defeatists. No wonder principled men routinely get their butts kicks by passionless liberal zombies. My advice to you is to act like a man and do your part and stop bitching about what everybody else does or does not do.

The war is unpopular with the left. The weak way Bush has been fighting the war is unpopular with the right. The right wants better fighting, which is what is happening now.

This guy lives in a dream world where all Republicans are perfect little manifestations of Ronald Reagan and no one every get their noses bloodied in order to see a bigger picture. There is nothing left for these people but ridicule.

I've come to love these threads. Everybody passing out little pats on the head. Affirming each other. Supporting each other.

Making it real.

Better than cable tv. Get bored with one round of the same old repetitiously recycled cuteness, not to worry. They'll be another round in a few minutes. Maybe we'll even see yet another new play on Mc-------.

Rather fascinating to watch the herd run without it really ever going anywhere. :-)

What I find interesting, and you highlighted it for my attention, is that most of these folks understand quite well what moral relativism is when it’s utilized in our schools. And they object. Then it comes to a Presidential race and moral relativism is suddenly the only adult policy.

Your comments were sound IMO and I appreciated them.

“The war is unpopular with the left.”

...which is exactly why McCain will work to end it.

Thanks for your response. I think there’s enough information there for you to understand where I’m coming from. If you don’t agree then there isn’t any need to say more.

Take care.

Thanks AIT. BTW, whatever McCain does, folks will say Obama would have been worse. Don’t expect folks to come back and own up to what they ushered in.

Bwaha. Wound a little tight, aren't we? And why are you telling me to stop worrying about what others do, while at the same time telling me what to do? Isn't that ..... HYPOCRITICAL? lol

P.S. What do you suggest I do to "act like a man"?

Nice compilation. I'm not gonna vote for president for the first time in over 30 years thanks to Johnny. Possibly if his health were failing prior to election date and he had a strong conservative as a running mate I might take a chance.

F- the RNC and all the other illegal enablers.

That’s how we see it. Sure wish everyone would try to understand where we’re coming from, and not take immediate offense to the point of not trying to at least understand the point, even if they ultimately disagreed.

Bud, you are so right. Look at McCain’s sell out of our troops MIA. Does anyone think he’ll stick out the Conservative timetable here? Why do we keep hoping he’ll change, when he’s been the same man for a long long time?

The party moves left because the leadership wusses out when it needs to do its job, but those leaders are not conservatives in the first place. Vote for conservatives and you will have a conservative party. Conservatives don't even show up to vote in primaries, not because some candidates are not more conservative than others, but because no candidate is ever conservative enough.

Republican victories have nothing to do with this. Once again, using your logic, the GOP should lose every election until we have a socialist in power, then somehow, everybody starts voting right wing. I remind you that GW Bush won two elections, both of which he was the more conservative candidate. In fact, I have no hesitation in pointing out that a more conservative candidate wins every time a Republican beats a Democrat. You want the party to be perfect, but you fail to see the value in the party when it is not. The Republican party is the only way to defeat liberals. You can't say you are winning when you are giving power to a more liberal candidate.

Of course you do realize that by reading the thread and adding your own "cute" comments that you're in the herd too.

Please read this post and come back and tell me why McCain is better than Obama, when McCain will pass these goals much easier than Obama ever could?

Look, I’m not responsible when I don’t cast a vote. I am responsible if I do.

You're kidding right? 0-1 = -1. 1+0=1. That's what you have: Obama is a -1 and McLame is a 1. You either have one candidate that is better or you don't; you can't have it both ways. You simply vote for the better of the two, so which one is it?

The same 'rehabilitation' is going on with McCain that went on by many over Thompson. They are projecting what they want him to be, rather than what his has been.

DING, DING, DING!!!!

You hit the nail on the head. People say he voted for Roberts and Alito. But they fail to recognize that he voted for *all* Scotus nominees! They say he is strong on the WOT but he has been a thorn in the side of every President trying to fight it since day one. McCain was one of the few House Republicans to buck Reagan back in 1983 when Reagan wanted to leave the Marines in Lebanon to retaliate against the terrorist bombings. It passed, with no thanks to McCain.
